Shortly after the death of my Father, we visited my brother who was serving in the RAF, stationed at Bruggen, West Germany.
This was his car, a Mazda 323 hatchback. The somewhat austere surroundings will be noted.

These 323s are extremely rare in the ACT, so it was so nice to see this one, dated 06/1977. It was re-registered in 2020 and be interesting to know if it is an original Canberra car.
Despite being eligible for historic rego, it is driving on full registration. I think it can pull off the modified look quite well!
Fun Fact: the two preceding numbers, YOL-37A & YOL-38A, are this 323's modern equivalents, all in grey! YOL-37A is a 12/2013 Grey Mazda3 BM Sedan and YOL-38A is a 04/2018 Grey Mazda3 BN Hatchback. YOL-38A is pretty much the modern equivalent of this 323 - I'll keep a look out for it!
The Dacia 1325, also known as 1325 Liberta or simply as Liberta, was a car manufactured by Romanian auto marque Dacia from 1991 to 1996.
The Dacia 1325 was the hatchback version of the Dacia 1310. Some photos exist of Dacia 1325 Libertas fitted with the final CN4 front fascia, although rare. It was the successor to the Dacia 1320 hatchback, which was built from 1987 until 1990. At first the 1325 was just an updated copy of the old 1310, but in 1993 it received a facelift matching that of the 1310, and it remained in production until 1996.
As the 1325 cost more than the more desirable station wagon model, sales were limited. Although more successful than the earlier 1320, only about 7,800 examples were built in total. Exports were limited to nearby Eastern European countries and also Greece.
The 1.3-liter, 40 kW engine was only available in the comparably expensive 1325 for the first year of production, replaced by the 47 kW, 1.4 L in 1993.

Sold in Japan as the Toyota Vitz. Not sold in the US. Funny enough, one of the times I visited Japan was when this model launched, and I attended some sort of promotional event for it that I happened upon while on a walk.
