Ran into a light dust storm while out exploring. Unfortunately the photo doesn’t show the blowing sand that well!

There is something about fog and mist that stops me in my tracks and convinces me, quite thoroughly, to be still. And to breathe, and to open my eyes and ears and senses. It's a quiet settling of all the brain's buzzing about past and present and to-do and worry-about into a sharp and wide-eyed awareness regarding the here and now.
The same effect happens to me when snow is falling, regardless of the place, though that quiet reverence is best experienced in the woods as well.
Image made with my Hasselblad 500 C/M.
I couldn't use this as my 52 since this was taken last Saturday already. But when I saw it I was immediately glad I actually do look the way I think I do before I hang around at an airport for a couple of hours, sit on a plane for an hour, walk around another airport for a couple of hours, sit on another plane for an hour and have to unpack my hand luggage and take off my boots about three times in the process.
I try not to take another shot of myself after I have landed.
Why exactly I feel the need to make excuses for posting a self portrait when I post one every single week anyway, I don't know.
