I became amazed with how each casino had themed door handles. This was New York New York. Statue of Liberty torches.
This shows my process of hand carving an axe handle from beginning to end. The only part missing is splitting a log down to make a plank for me to work down.
Trying my hand more at these abstract geometric compositions. I figure the basics are never too bad to study.
The inlay work on this knife handle was particularly intricate. The picture does not really do it justice, but it was hard to get a good picture through glass without using a flash.
The little cover that hides the screw stops the handle from closing when opened fully into the notch. How clever!

Inspired by the Handle stool which was initially developed to install "the perfect skin" concept, presented at the 2000 "essere Ben Essere, Triennalle" in Milan, the Baby Handle is a variation of its original, made of wood and covered with fabric featuring a handle loop facilitating its transport and allowing you to hang it on a wall or hat rack.
-Repainted (I ruined it with green and red paint)
-Added new horizontal grip
-Used a nylon washer instead of nylon nut
-Added Electrical tape to cover the opening
Handle on the secretary my mother inherited from my great aunt. You don't see many of those these day - at least not without calling it kitch. They are beutiful, though.
