The little knobs on our dishwasher's handle that engage with the latch and close the switches had worn down to far. Decided it was time to try some of this sugru (http://sugru.com/) stuff to fix it.
It takes a few days to set so we can't test it out just yet.
Update 2010/6/10: Two weeks later and it's still holding up well!

There's a sliiight taper to this piece, which means I couldn't just go out and nab some PVC for the grip

Cargo handling equipment:
Located at the London Canal Museum, these are a selection of tools that would have been used for loading and unloading of cargo. On the wall (left to right) are a Cant Pole, Barrel Lever, Wall Crane, Sack hook and a Barrel Rap (behind the sack). On the floor are two weighing machines and a sack barrow.

Snapshot Alert! Today was busy and I never even though about my camera. So this is my 11 pm "Uh oh" shot. Fletcher is still using the wheelchair at school but at home he's using crutches and now he's complaining that his hands hurt. It was suggested that he wear his cycling gloves but he nixed that idea. So today I bought some furry fleece and some batting and sewed some covers for the handle. I'm hoping they'll be a little softer and more comfortable. Next I will make some padded covers for the underarm pads as well. Hopefully he'll be in a short cast next week.
Neon Techniques & Handling, Samuel C. Miller, 1988 edition.
I went through a period in my sign painting career where I became enamored with neon. I knew an old glass bender named Jimmy (J.R.) Rogers who started teaching me to create neon. During that time period I bought this book to learn from. While I have done a little glass bending under the tutelage of Mr. Rogers, I must confess I never learned enough to make a living at it.
I am a fan of art, art my maker, I am photographer. The influence of contemporary art, pop art and collage brought by international artist such as Andrea Floris, Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and several local artists such as Ahmad Shukri, Go with Abu Hassan and etc have made me to create artwork as above.
Virtually every week often appear in newspaper stories about children abuse. as an art maker and photographer, I started to feel not satisfied with what happened. from there I began to work on. Use of the main subject (kids) and the use of words in this artwork will make audiences think what is happening around us. I use the colors that are often used other pop artists to raise the mood of kids in this artwork.
Some people talk about how I create this artwork is not photography, too much text in this artwork, and etc. This is still photography, because I use the camera to capture the subject matter (kids), I use the lighting in my work, I use my drawing in the paper, but I tried to run away from the box what is photography itself. Reached when the photography / photographer to stay in style at the existing?

Looking like candy bars, these handles were carved from laminated pearlized Galalith plastic to match the wood veneer of 1930s heavy deco furniture. Made in Brazil, they are 22cm long.
