Cut out with a hand saw and painted on both sides 12" x 6" . Has a vintage chain for hanging on the wall. Original design.

Part of my white collection. Pewter butterflies and czech glass and lampwork beads. Apart from the butterfly at the top of the earring, 2 tiny butterflies are flanking the lampwork bead.

I've used shadow crystal - clear to line the hoop and from the chains I've hung different shades of blue swarovski crystals - sapphire, capri blue, cobalt. Obviously the crystals look much better than what the picture shows.

The Nurse Doll Story
I designed this doll to honor my Mom and Grandmom who were both lifelong, caring professional nurses. I remember Mom and Grandmom coming home after long hours of hospital work with very sore, swelled feet and as a little girl my Grandmom would tell me "Nurses need extra hearts in their feet to be able to make it through the long hours of their days on their feet."
If you look closely at each of the Nurse Dolls you will find that she too has swelled feet and an "extra set of hearts" on each foot just as I remember my Grandmom telling me.
Every one of us knows, or will one day know the kind of gentle caregiver that inspired the design of this doll...
To my Mom and Grandmom, and all the other very special Nurses in our lives---thank-you for the life of caring and love you gave to so many in need.

This creation uses all czech glass beads. I love the large grey striped nuggets. They actually have tones of white, black, deep purple and of course grey. This is worn lariat style (with the fastener and center drop in the front)and the 3 drop beads are a smaller flat oval variation of the larger striped beads. Beads are obviously nicer in reality than my photo.
