Shot for entry in two challenges, but then I realized it didn't meet the requirements for one of them. Oh well.
It's still a good fit for Macro Mondays Cogwheel theme.
Subject
An old hand-drill. I keep it on my boat so that I don't have to rely on battery power in case of emergency. Hand drills have saved my bacon more than once when sailing.
Lighting
It's the Sun. Really, really bright South Florida sunshine!
Lens
SMC PENTAX-FA Macro 100mm F2.8
It's a great lens for macro work, and a darn sharp telephoto to boot.

At the dentist's ... ;o)))
Tool placed around a tooth to keep the composite material for a large filling in place until polymerization reaction of the resins is achieved.
Macro Mondays: Handtool
For this weeks Theme i decided to smash a hammer on a nail. To enhance some action in the shot I've put some baby powder on the nail before the smash and used a violett rimlight
Inspired by Marilyn Manson:
"Wrench is just a household god
But I carry mine with pride
I don't work but I can work with it to split your smile"
Disclaimer: the red goo is a non-toxic water-based paint and yes, I am a sick puppy
La chiave che si utilizza per stringere e regolare i truck, la durezza e la velocità delle ruote dello skate.
Tutto in uno!
Rusty, curved carving tool found in my dads tool shed.
Unusually for me, shot outside on an old wooden barrel!
#Hand Tool
This tool is an extendable magnetic hand tool designed to help you get to small things that fall into tough spaces...very convenient when you drop a screw. Macro Monday theme "Hand Tool"
I've been doing a lot of home improvement projects lately. First I redecorated Dominic's room. He was in a twin-sized captain's bed and had totally outgrown it. All of his furniture was second-hand and he needed an update. After that project was done, I picked out new lights for the kids' bathroom and our master bathroom. Then my mom is about to adopt a small Egyptian tortoise and I've been helping her build a habitat for her new little girl. I've been painting, sealing, drilling, screwing, and painting some more! It's almost done and I'm excited for my mom to get her soon. Then over the weekend, I built a hutch for Jennie, Anna's bunny from school that is staying with us for the summer. Next on the to-do list is priming and painting the kids' shower and putting in a new vent. I love working with my hands!
Seashell and sisal sponge angle view flashed with UV Torch. Used Nikor telephoto and macro lenses, manual focus.
Ratchet and sockets.
You've gotta love a shiny set of tools. They reflect everything around them. This ratchet set was sitting on the red box that they are stored in and I noticed that they were picking up the blue in my shirt so I just draped it around the box. HMM.
The chuck for a power drill, but you can just call me Chuck, my friend is Phillip he is okay just has a few loose screws. I can use this to screw together stands for subject matters I have taken. Hang lights or build the frame for backdrop or block light with frame.
I'm making a graduation gift for my great niece's high school graduation. These folding scissors makes the project portable. Great tool for the "tool box". HMM
A Record Marples No. 5 bench plane. Back when computer keyboards were still expensive, I traded one to a local woodworking store for this plane. Both the store and, I'm sure, the keyboard are long gone but I still have the plane.

My favorite tool. The multi-tool. I can probably do 80% of the jobs I have that require a tool with a good multi-tool. It saves me from scrambling through the house looking for the right screw driver, etc.
This photo is a bit of a change of pace for me. I normally don’t do B&W but the subject seemed perfect for B&W. I also usually go for sharp focusing from end to end, but thought the cascade of different tools would look good going out of focus. I also didn’t clean my subject because it is, well, a tool and gets dirty.
HMM!
