Currently I only have this one stand in this photo (I usually like to photograph them in groups of four). Ursula got to start another photo...hopefully there will be more to keep hers company in the future. Anyways, I got my doll in late 2024 at Big Lots when they were running their store closing sales. I planned to make her a stand as soon as I got my lady. She doesn't sit well at all...she has an awkward gait and she's cheaply made which doesn't help. I decided to wait a little white so I had a small batch of stands to make at once, rather than just two or three. I didn't construct this until the summer of 2025. She has a really cool outfit (albeit very poorly made). I was inspired by the blue designs on her gown. That's why I chose this color for the base of the stand. Then I used purple for the lettering, to compliment the main color of her ensemble. As for the shells and squiggles, these were inspired by her necklace. It has a ton of beautiful detail, so I wanted to reference it on her stand. It's not an exact replica, but I used elements from it to adorn the front of Ursula's stand.

I love the colors in these, but the yarn is pilling really badly along the sole and heels of the socks. I'm sure that If I would just invest in a lint shaver it would help tremendously, but there are just so many more important things to buy right now. (Like that yummy new sock yarn that Athena's just got in last week... I promise that it looks exactly like a lilac bush and really needs to come home with me soon.) ^_^
Crochet and Knit Manga Spirits! Aimee on the left is crochet, Audrey on the right is knit.
Pattern for both will be available free on my blog by the end of the day, and this is no April Fool joke :-)
Handmade knife by Peter Pendjurov peterknives.com/. Hand forged Damascus blade by Poul Strande. The handle is made of zebrano wood piece, moose and buffalo horn.
I've made some stamp garlands for decoration. They are of color matching postage issues from all over the world. Each is on baker's twine and is four feet long. They come inside sweet little flip-top boxes for handy storage.
Knit and crochet undies for the Manga Spirits. They can be worn interchange-ably by either the Knit or the Crochet Spirit.
I used a self striping yarn that gave these different looks; it was fun to see how each piece turned out.
Free pattern will be available on my blog soon:
Tried one more monkey. He might be the cutest of all. I keep posing them all over the house. He is made from wool and is 1 3/4 inches tall standing.
Finished them this afternoon!
Pretty pleased with them, just they are too tight to get on for me, so next time I will cast on with larger needles, a tip I was given!
I sprayed the tag with a combo of Colorwash spray(in butterscotch) and a spray from Lindys Stampgang-copper colored. Stamped the images from Invoke Arts and colored with Tombow markers-Lace border on the bottom is from Hero Arts. Light distressing on the edges using Adirondack Butterscotch ink pad.
Weasley sweater in progress. I didn't get it done for my son for Christmas.... am working on it now. :)
I made a set of these--like a limited edition of a new design. The kilt pin is what makes this piece for me. This is knit from a yarn that is 80% cashmere and 20% something super soft ad cushy but totally man-made. Knitting with cashmere is pricey, but nice. However, in my opinion, it's not that much nicer than knitting, or wearing, a high quality merino. I decided to experiment with the cashmere yarn and a merino that had a similar look. Because of the blend they are a bit more affordable. I was really impressed by the way it came out. I love this design. I'll post some pics of the cashmere blend version soon.
I love making soap but what I love more is other people discovering the lovliness that is handmade natural soap without chemicals. Handmade soap is a different experience than shop bought because it is not packed with chemicals and cleaning detergents that strip your skin. It was very pleasing tonight to receive an order for ten lovely bars of handmade soap.
