In the 1920’s, there was a petite woman named Violetta who loved to knit and sew.

The outer fabric is smart stripes in rich violet. The inner fabric is adorned with petal blue chrysanthemums with lime leaves and plump violet buds on a coral background. It is from Amy Butler’s Belle Collection.

It measures L 11½” X H 13” (L 30 cm x H 33 cm). The straps measure 23” (59 cm). This rucksack would be perfect for someone with a small frame.

Hillsborough, NC ran its first annual Handmade Puppet Parade on October 11, 2008. Folks made giant puppets representing creatures from the local Eno River. I shot the parade for the Chapel Hill News.

This is another pair of simple stripe socks. The legs are worked in 3x3 rib. The socks were made with self striping yarn. I learned a great lesson with these socks, which is don't take too long between socks. I made the first one a month or two ago. In that time, however, my knitting has loosened up quite a bit. So the second sock is much looser than the first.

Don't know if my "Edwin" is romantic like "Marry me" or desperate "Would somebody please be my Queen" :))

Day 5 on Stretch your stamps 2.

With the inspiration from one of the lessons I used paper piecing and layering along with some coloring with pencils.

I used a stamps from Inkadinkado and Forma hantverk.

Patterned paper, pearls, Faber Castell polychromos colored pencils, Fiskars border punch.

The second pack I ordered. Some dups, but more for me to stick. Thanks Ticky!

The pack features a 50 cm top zipper making access to the main compartment very easy. The front has a zippered pocket going the full width of the pack. The bag has two outside pockets, place for a laptop and inner pocket is perfect for carrying your cell phone, wallet, keys.

The bag has a strap attached at the top and bottom, with an adjustable slide to make it a comfortable fit at whatever length you prefer to carry it, slung over your shoulders. A web loop at the top of the bag makes it easy to grab and go.

Fully lined in and orange drill fabric.
