I don't know much about treadle sewing machines, although I do sew quite a bit on my two old (1950) Singers.
This beauty is a Class 66 and was manufactured in 1923 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
I would describe the machine and the cabinet as being in "fair" condition. A few chips and bangs here and there. The spool pin is missing but other than that, I can't tell you much as I don't know much. Be sure to look through the pictures if you are interested!
There is a brand new handcrank set up, as well as a new belt, installed.
The machine needs to go to someone who knows treadles, or who wants to learn! kelly AT hogaboom DOT org or 360 500 3287.

In mid-1967, an electric generator was installed at this station, along with fluorescent lighting and new pumps. Although the meter was still re-set by a small handcrank on the side, the pumps were otherwise electric-powered. No other private business or residence had electric power during my stay (Dec. 6, 1965 to Feb. 15, 1968). The generator was noisy for a town accustomed to preindustrial tranquility, and it was turned off promptly at 10 PM each day to comply with a local ordinance. In December 1967, regular-grade petrol cost Le 0.63 to Le 0.65 per gallon at both BP and Mobil, equivalent to U.S. $0.75 to $0.78 (Le 1.00 = U.S. $1.20, following devaluation on Nov. 26, 1967).

This is a block from the Card Trick pattern. I almost never have time to learn to sew with all the machine tinkering but I did start this.

We decided to make the reversible tote. The pictures show the 1915 Singer 15 handcrank I used, both sides of the tote, and the signature block which doubles as a pocket.
This is a Little Princess sewing machine model# 425 manfactured by The Hoge Mfg Co in New York. As you can see this machine was in pretty bad shape, but I was looking forward to the challenge of fixing it up! :)

I recently changed my singer 99 (1937) to a handcrank. She sews beautifully. I purchased her back in February. I still have the motor, but don't know if it works because it did not come with the knee control. I thought about changing her electric makeup by transforming her to accepting a foot pedal/control, but I like this better.
Like the Mimeograph, the Ditto machine used a wax stencil to make reproductions of hand or typewritten copy. THing is, I can't figure out what's missing or where the feed board goes...

An Asian clone . I don't know what drew me to it. Must have been the WELCOME on it. But it is a handcrank and nice.
And heavy.
B&H "Electric Eye" 8mm movie camera: 10mm fixed lens, f1.9. ASA set from 40-10; has countdown footage indicator, and "shoot/don't shoot" exposure indicator in VF, via glass rod that extends down into "Electric Eye" lattice, bottom front. If there was enough light, the rod (visible in #2 & #3) would appear to glow yellow, or go dark if too dim. Shutter release is plain steel lever at center of photo, and no electric motor here, you cranked the spring for (if lucky) 50' of filming. . .
I love the size and weight of this machine. It's a little bigger and heavier then the other kayanee's I have. It sews nice too!
Outstanding vintage cast iron coffee mill by collectible Spong & Co. Not sure if it's ever been used. Original gold foil label still attached. Makes a superior cup of coffee!
Less mess, less noise than modern electric counterparts....an incomparable green machine.

My 60 x 76" Row Robin exchange , with our local Quilter's Bee Group. My quilt top contains 3-D bow-tie blocks, pinwheel blocks , log cabin, Dresden Plate , churn dash, spools, pineapple log cabin, and Drunkard's Path blocks.
This quilt top is cat-approved :-)
I pieced the curved Drunkard's Path block on my 1890 vintage Davis Vertical feed treadle sewing machine (and some were also pieced on my 1919 Singer handcrank, model 128). The spool blocks were pieced on my Eldredge B treadle (also c.1890). The rest of the rows I received in this nice group swap.
this handcrank sewing machine was made in england. it can be hooked up to a treadle but was used mainly with the supplied handcrank. it sews very nicely as you can see in the preceding video about it. I got it because of the abilitity to reverse it when sewing with the flip of a lever.
I just got done hemming up some shorts and it works great on 4 and sometimes 5 layers of denim. I really do like how it works.

The kids all lined up for a turn to spin the paddles and whip up some ice cream. Many of them got tired of this excercise, but not Meg!
They all had enough energy to eat the ice cream when it was done!
This is the same ice cream maker that we used when I was a kid. So glad my folks lent it for the party!
