Part of the 52 Weeks of 2017

Week: 3

Theme: Silly

Category: Creative

I drew a blank when I saw the "silly" theme, but after a bit of research, I came up with a few ideas and once I started shooting a few things naturally evolved. This is kinda how I find things work for me while shooting: starting with an idea is good, but things evolve and ideas hatch while actually shooting.

The jelly baby was one such thing, and I think it makes the shot.

The only problem was stopping myself eating the props.

The perfect close quarters combat weapon designed tso you can smash, slash, or shoot your way out of any close quarters combat situation! Light enough to be comfortable but with enough weight for you to hammer some foes' faces in, this gun is perfect for you!

I had a butt ton of fun with this build.

Steve did an image inspired by my hammer series, and in that photo's thread, Maryanne mentioned that it might be interesting to see them next to one another. I also thought this would be a good idea, so, here it is......

Well we weren’t going to have to be in Texas until tomorrow because we were told we had an open window, then 4hrs out dispatch said our appointment is at 6:30am so now we have to hammer out our hours to get there. Load will be late since our shut down time will be too late and we HAVE to take a 10hr reset otherwise we will be in violation. Gotta love it lol Catch y’all up more tomorrow!

Mike 'DJ HAMMER' Stanley spent his days working on a construction site to pay the bills, his real passion being his the nights he spent as a resident DJ in clubs around BrickHaven. One night, whilst working late digging the foundations for a new building he unearthed two mystical two stone hammers that had been buried deep underground. Struck by lightning as he tried to remove them, Mike soon discovered that the hammers bestowed him with magical powers, giving him superhuman strength and the ability to create thunder and lightning when the hammers were struck. Nicknaming them M.J. after the weapon of the Norse thunder god (as no-one can pronounce mjolnir) and Uko after the weapon of the Finnish god of lightning (ukonvasara), how Mike chooses to use his new found power remains to be seen. It's HAMMERTIME.

Everybody needs a friend with their own sledgehammer (and the ability to use it with total joy and childish glee) especially when one has friends from Canada paying a visit to his fair city. (Wouldn't want them getting all squizzy and gunky without a means of controlling them)

So I went and found my own personal "crowd control" who's friends call him...wait for it...Hammer. (Real name is Michael from Alphabet City cross town.)

Hammer says "...if I see one damn balloon animal...Bam...Emeril ain't gonna have enough left of you to make chili."

I'm down with that, Yo.

Sally McGurder is a single mum. And a ghost therapist. And a damn good one! Only she can see them, and only she can help them work through their pain. The trouble is, her clients are all deeply troubled and, well, let's just say her work often follows her home... A Netflix semi-original. Coming soon.

My first entry to the Hammertime 3K figbarf contest: Anything Goes category. From left to right, her clientele includes the ghastly likes of:

Victorian Horrors!

Condemned Witches!

The lovely Sally McGurder herself (MClinPsych, MS, LGPC)

Obnoxious Pharaohs!

Entitled Vapours!

...even Gruesome Defiler Kings from Dimension Twelve? (at back)

So there's a fair bit of Photoshopping going on but the only tweaking I did to the actual figs was to fix the chest of the ghost schoolboy, which actually was dark reddish brown and didn't match his head.

We're beginning to have students return textbooks to the library as the school year is coming to a close and need to keep the books in numerical order (yes, I noticed that two books are not in order after I took the photo!).

My husband came up with this humourous sign, and I'm suprised at how many of our students understand the reference! Sometimes I put up signs just for my amusement, but this one seemed to reach more age groups than just mine.

Hammer Time....

Our 34hr reset is over! Our load for this morning was a 2am pickup. We got there probably around 1am, checked in and parked. Josh and I took a nice nap for a few hours. We had gotten woke up by some loud thunder which is the best way to wake up for me. We finally got our new trailer with product and are heading up to Denver, CO. I’ll miss you Texas
