When one door closes another opens but all too often there is a long hallway in between

This is at Pete's house. I really really liked the juxtaposition of the warm and cold colors acoming from the bedroom [end of hall] and the bathroom [on the right].

Our hotel in Ashland. Margaret asked me why I would take a picture such as this. The image itself is the only answer I have.

Happy Slider's Sunday everyone.

A hallway at Groeneveld Castle, an 18th century country manor in Baarn, the Netherlands. It now houses a museum.

The hallway of the Groninger Museum with the sun from the sides. The shadows projected on the celing actually are the ripples on the adjacent water. The floor level of this hallway is actually below the water level.

The hallway outside the IT area at my Boston office.

This is the loft/attic in Casa Batlló, Barcellona, Spain

Built with one of Antoni Gaudí's most elegant and original solutions, the loft is notable for the stunning series of 60 catenary arches that define the space, often compared to the ribcage of a whale, to distribute the weight of the roof.

♥ Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments ♥

Manicomio di R in Italy. This clinic was built in the end of the 19th century. It was first used as a hospital for the mentally ill and later it was used as a military academy.

From surgery and examine chairs to beautiful long hallways with green everywhere, growing inside from the windows. Mesmerising decay.

Thank you everyone for visiting, commenting and fav'ing - very much appreciated!

This impressive hallway is at the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel in Macau.

Even though the dynamic range is relatively low, I used soft HDR processing to enhance the local contrast while retaining a natural look.

The hallway floors weren't finished when I took this photo. They are now nice an d shiny like the rest of the house. The light fixture was my one big extravagance but I figured since it's the first thing you see when you walk in the front door...why not?
