The bright building is the Hallstatt Woodworking School, where I learned carpentry as a teenager. It has a rich tradition, having been founded in 1834.

Um grande incêndio deflagrou à beira do lago no dia 30 de novembro de 2019. O incêndio começou em uma cabana de madeira e rapidamente se propagou, danificando fortemente pelo menos quatro prédios.

(A large fire broke out on the lakeside on November 30, 2019. The fire started in a log cabin and quickly spread, heavily damaging at least four buildings.)

Hallstatt, Austria is a beautiful lakeside village, now a popular tourist spot, but once a major center for salt production. Surrounded by mountains, it is located in a spectacularly picturesque location. A tram ride to the top of the mountain above provides panoramic views.

Hallstatt is an Austrian village that enchants visitors with its alpine beauty and ancient history. Situated on the shores of the Hallstatter See lake, Hallstatt has an idyllic view of wooden houses spreading up the mountainside. In the center of the village, the neo-Gothic church with its clock tower stands out. Hallstatt is also famous for its salt production, which began around 7000 years ago and continues today in the Salzwelten mine.
