god, if i had to wear this in my hair i'd go insane. i don't think i could stay still long enough for it not to fall out!
I happened to be on a 'life painting' weekend when I came to this exercise so thought I would combine the 2 & practice skin tones and an imaginary portrait while doing it. I used a sponge, haircomb, palette knife and my fingers to make this picture (in artisan oils). Particuarly noticed sponge is a good way to quickly fill canvas with colour & that the finger is an accurate way of doing line. I enjoyed this 'organic' method & was suprised what can be achieved without brushes.
