June 02, 2013 at 10:40AM Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) used to invoke Allah at night, saying, "O Allah: All the Praises are for You: You are the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth. All the Praises are for You; You are the Maintainer of the Heaven and the Earth and whatever is in them. All the Praises are for You; You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth. Your Word is the Truth, and Your Promise is the Truth, and the Meeting with You is the Truth, and Paradise is the Truth, and the (Hell) Fire is the Truth, and the Hour is the Truth. O Allah! I surrender myself to You, and I believe in You and I depend upon You, and I repent to You and with You (Your evidences) I stand against my opponents, and to you I leave the judgment (for those who refuse my message). O Allah! Forgive me my sins that I did in the past or will do in the future, and also the sins I did in secret or in public. You are my only God (Whom I worship) and there is no other God for me (i.e. I worship none but You)." Narrated Sufyan: (regarding the above narration) that the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) added, "You are the Truth, and Your Word is the Truth." حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدْعُو مِنَ اللَّيْلِ " اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ، لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ، قَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ، وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ، اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَأَسْرَرْتُ وَأَعْلَنْتُ، أَنْتَ إِلَهِي لاَ إِلَهَ لِي غَيْرُكَ ". حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بِهَذَا وَقَالَ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) saying, "There is a Surah in the Qur'an which contains thirty Ayat which kept interceding for a man until his sins are forgiven. This Surah is 'Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion.' (Surat Al-Mulk 67)." [At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud]. وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال :" من القرآن سورة ثلاثون آية شفعت لرجل حتى غفرت له ،وهي: تبارك الذي بيده الملك ". 'Imran bin Husain (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Shyness does not bring anything except good." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. In a narration of Muslim: Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "All of shyness is good." وعن عمران بن حصين، رضي الله عنهما، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “ الحياء لا يأتى إلا بخير” ((متفق عليه)) . وفي رواية لمسلم” "الحياءه خير كله”أوقال: “الحياء كله خير".

Narrated `Abdullah: We used to pray behind the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and used to say: "As-Salamu 'Al-Allah. The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Allah himself is As-Salam (Name of Allah), so you should say: 'at-Tahiyatu lil-laihi was- sala-watu wattaiyibatu, as-sallamu 'Alasia aiyuha-n-nabiyyu wa rahrmatu-l-lahi wa barak-atuhu, As-salamu 'alaina wa 'ala 'ibaldi-l-lahi as-salihin. Ashhadu an la ilaha il-lallah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `Abduhu wa rasuluhu."' حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُغِيرَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَقِيقُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَنَقُولُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَى اللَّهِ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّلاَمُ وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ". Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: On the Night of Al-Isra (the Night of Ascension) the Prophet () was presented with two drinking vessels: one full of wine and the other one full of milk. He looked at them. Then he took the vessel which was full of milk. Thereupon Jibril (Gabriel) said: "Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) Who has guided you to that, which is in accord with Fitrah (i.e., Islamic Monotheism; pure nature of Islam). Had you selected wine, your people would have gone astray." [Muslim]. وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أتي ليلة أسري به بقدحين من خمر ولبن، فنظر إليهما فأخذ اللبن، فقال جبريل صلى الله عليه وسلم: "الحمد لله الذي هداك للفطرة لو أخذت الخمر غوت أمتك” ((رواه مسلم)). Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but will be the foremost on the Day of Resurrection." The narrators of this Hadith said: Allah said (to man), 'Spend (in charity), for then I will compensate you (generously).' " حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ، أَنَّ الأَعْرَجَ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " نَحْنُ الآخِرُونَ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ". وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ " قَالَ اللَّهُ أَنْفِقْ أُنْفِقْ عَلَيْكَ ". Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported about Surat Al-Ikhlas (Chapter 112): The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, it is equivalent to one-third of the Qur'an." According to another version, he (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said to his Companions, "Is anyone of you incapable of reciting one-third of the Qur'an in one night?" They considered it burdensome and said: "O Messenger of Allah, which of us can afford to do that?" He (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Surat Al-Ikhlas [Say: He is Allah (the) One] is equivalent to one-third of the Qur'an." [Al- Bukhari]. وعن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال في:{ قل هو الله أحد}:" والذي نفسي بيده، إنها لتعدل ثلث القرآن". وفي رواية: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لأصحابه:" أيعجز أحدكم أن يقرأ بثلث القرآن في ليلة" فشق ذلك عليهم، وقالوا: أينا يطيق ذلك يارسول الله: فقال :" {قل هو الله أحد} ثلث القرآن.".
