I'm running OSCulator to grab the bluetooth signal and send the data into Max/MSP patches.

The genesis of this project was a challenge from OpenIDEO and the Hewlett Foundation to redefine the way that "hackers" are depicted in the media and popular culture. Most often, "hackers" are shown as white males in their early 20's, or some shadowy guy in a hoodie.

In reality, "hackers" are comprised of a multitude of diverse people from all ages, genders, cultural backgrounds, and ethnicities. Even the term "hacker" is misleading as a hacker originally was simply used to describe a person with an aptitude for computers.

Nike+ iPod shoe hack 1/3.

You know me. I'm a Nike man. I own quite a few pair and of course I do own a pair of Nike+ running shoes, too. But running on a regular basis in these fuckers seem to make my legs hurt. So i took some cheap plastic bags, put the Nike+ sensor inside and used some sticky tape to hold the sensor in place.

I added a parallel port, device # select switch and a reset button to my 1541 (with the ALPS internal mechanism). If this doesn't make sense to you, then don't worry about it. ;-)
