Street photography from London, England.
I had little spare time for any street shots while in London on assignment but I caught this at the back of The Waldorf Hilton near Covent Garden in February 2019. Oh, I wasn't staying there, I had to 'settle' for a 4* hotel instead. Enjoy!
But how he set – I know not –

Winter in our village, snow clouds pass low over the hills and the country road, our only street...Thanks so much for your visit, comment or fave!/Vad mycket snö! Vinter i Åsveden. Molnen rör sig lågt över landsvägen, vår enda gata.../Qué de nieve! A special sugar dish, beautifully crafted by Spode pottery.
From the days when your afternoon cup of tea was accompanied by an elegant sugar bowl with a lid! A modest teaspoon of sugar was the only acceptable quantity!
It was seen as a luxury item in my family long before war brought a national shortage! The idea of having more than one spoonful in your cup of tea lingered on.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!
Sugar rationing in Britain, introduced during World War II in January 1940 and lasting until September 1953, was a strict, long-term policy designed to manage severe food shortages. Citizens were limited to approximately 8 ounces (225g) of sugar weekly, with sweets and chocolate rationed from 1942. This restriction significantly improved national health.

fun how the perception of lines work, just in a short distant the full frame of planks merges to a dot, but expand and it goes on.

In a quiet library, occupied only by seeing and pages of books written, no one knew the worst that could happen inside a mystery that nobody would know unravel, it would be forever marked in the pages of any book and forgotten with the time.
That was how Mrs. Scarlet acted on a typical day.
This day is known today as "Clue"

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday ... late again....
A couple of Sundays ago Anita and I went exploring and our first stop was the Glen Burnie Gardens at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. How beautiful they were, even at this time of year when the flowers are starting to fade. We spent a pleasant couple of hours wandering around the grounds and this butterfly was just so happy in this bed of flowers. (I think he and several bees were drunk on the nectar of them actually!!)
