Back in the spring of 2019, Zach and I checked off the Mohawk Adirondack and Northern on the must "do" list. We had found out that they were planning on making a run from Utica north to Boonville, NY with empty propane cars for storage with all three engines. Another early morning departure from the house got us to Utica just before dawn to witness the sights and smell of Schenectady smoke. seeing a big train on the main to Boonville was certainly cool. After spotting the empty propane cars north of town, they returned to "downtown" Boonville to give Bailey Feeds a quick switch. Here, MA&N C-425 2456 dips down to the spot track to grab an empty grain car. It is quite an illusion, but in reality there is no room for error in spotting cars here. This was a great day, thanks to our friends at the MA&N with Centuries and lots of sun. April 16, 2019.
It was a beautiful spring day to be out taking photographs with friends. This dragonfly wanted to get in on the action too. (Common Green Darner)
Most plants cannot live in saltwater, since the water drowns their roots and the salt poisons their systems. Seaweed, however, is not a true plant and does not use systems that can be waterlogged. It has thick, rubbery stems that protect it from the corrosive ocean water, and uses simplified versions of roots and leaves to hold it in place and absorb sunlight. More complicated types of seaweed even have specialized bladders that allow it to float.

It is important to have someone to catch us when we fall. Because no matter how confident we are, or how confident we make others believe we are, one day everybody falls.
Did you know that Venus rotates so slowly on it's axis that a day lasts longer than a year?
This is one of the photographs from a project i spontaneously started this year of unusual things seen in vehicles.
These are horse seat covers taken through a window mixed in with some reflections behind.
Sometimes i don't half see some amusing weird things and combined with some reflections makes them even stranger i reckon.
I look forward to see how this project evolves over the weeks and months along with various other projects that are in the continuing mode.
