I really must stop this. Out for a sunny Sunday morning walk and a cheery "Good Morning!" to a passing total stranger turns into a longer chat and me asking him if I can take his photo. It turns out he was a climber of some ability.
It's really surprising, millions of people out there that you may come close to and yet you never speak to them or ever find out anything about them. So many have done something amazing in their life and hardly anyone outside their family or friends circle know anything about them. Chris, called Buffalo Bill by his mates, it turns out is a man who had stared death in the face many times and I tried to capture the reflective mood of a man who had been to the edge and made it back. He has put active climbing behind him now, but it was clear that, little Daisy aside, climbing was the love of his life.
Do you think Daisy last went to the same hairdresser, some time ago?

We saw the very worst in human beings this past Friday.
But after watching the news tonight, I thought we also saw the very best.
I was struck by the fellow in the cafe who put himself in front of a woman as a shield. He died, she lived because of him.
Or the man who pulled the pregnant woman who was hanging out the window of the second floor of the theatre. He put himself in potential danger to help a fellow human being.
There may be rough days ahead, but thankfully I think there is enough who rise above to get us through.
My little 14 1/2 year old mini long hair doxie, Sugar. You notice some tangles in the hair on her ear. She is not one who likes her hair combed.
Makes me think of when I was little and my mom would brush my hair and put it in braids and I hated it when she would pull too hard. Except I never would have tried to bite my mom's hand when it happened.

Sugar looks really young for her age. She has very little gray and white hair so far. Little Tank's face is now completely white and they are the same age.
Tank will be coming home from Alaska with Monica this month on the 18th. I can't wait to see him.

Wood Storks are among the largest North American birds.
Hope to see him in a more mature state when we visit Florida again this winter.

Lovely but cold morning at Derwent and Keswick where I was joined by this big fella for a few moments.
He seemed to be struggling with the harsh contrast between the bright sky, colourful island and dark water and just wouldn't shut up about how far apart I was bracketing my shots, what ISO I had chosen and did I use hyperfocal length for focusing.... I told him I didn't know what he was talking about, I just wing it.....
This is the first Bullock's Oriole of the season. I was so happy to spot him a couple hundred yards from where I was. With know way of course to get closer. So I shot the photo and cropped the heck out of it. Lord willing there will be more and better photos coming up.
I just love these birds they are so beautiful and colorful with their little orange jump suits. Looks like he spotted me as well, he appears to be looking right at me? Maybe he recognizes me being the same paparazzi that drove him nuts last year?

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

The wind around him gently blew,

The little acorn thought this a joke.
Cruel autumn wind whistled round
And knocked the acorn to the ground.
A little girl passing by
The small acorn she did spy
She picked it up but let it fall
Down a nearby rabbit hole.
All winter long it lay inside
Soon it withered and turned dry
In the springtime a shoot of green
From the acorn could be seen.
It grew and grew, as years rolled by
Soon it reached up to the sky.
So it was a tale come true
A mighty oak
From the acorn grew.
