This Young Red Tailed Hawk was tucked in a tree at Colusa National Wildlife Refuge. We liked the way the sun illuminated his head and the rest of his body was shaded. Colusa offers an in auto experience of wildlife viewing and photography as you drive through the three-mile, graveled auto tour through wetlands. Your car is your blind.

He was spooked by some kids last night and the vixen was with him I was at the window the vixen was very thin she bolted and at one point she was springing like a springbok which I have never seen before went out to look for them scanned the field edge and saw Mr Fox made me smile he came running over as I threw a sausage but being later 10.15pm the moving shots were blurry.

The photo was taken at my sister's home where Tofu hid on a chair in the dining room and watched his cousin Sethi who was lying on the floor (where I took the photo I posted of Sethi yesterday). Sethi and Tofu get along well but I wouldn't call them best friends. I think Sethi is the kind of cat who doesn't need tha company of other cats and prefers to be left in peace but he has never been aggressive in any way towards the feline members of the family. Tofu knows that Sethi wants him to stay at a certain distance and usually respects that.
