This poor guy. My friend's cat was sitting down at the base of the tree where this guy was trying to hide. Cat's can be most patient when need be. Luckily for this guy though, the cat finally gave up

Mt Ruapehu (Lord of the Rings fame) is there in the background, hiding behind a little harmless morning cloud. The river is Wairere stream, which forms the Taranaki Falls about 100m downstream from this spot.
Tofu was hiding behind his cardboard castle as we had strange people in our home. Friends of a friend came by to have a look at my gas heater as it doesn't work properly at the moment, not nice in the current cold weather. What makes it even worse is the fact that it is quite old already and they aren't sure if the spare parts they will need are still available. Tofu and I will have to hide under warm blankets for a while ...

This was the second owl I spotted on this day. The Snowy and then this cute little Saw Whet tucked in behind branches. The Pole Farm, Mercer County NJ.
This is one of my safe places. It is a place that I come to when I am grieving or hurt. Today was one of those days. My heart feels broken into many pieces and the pieces don't fit back together. I miss doing a lot of things right now and the future feels very uncertain. My hope still remains in the Lord even on my darkest days for He is my shelter and my refuge!
A male mallard and his lady are very well hidden in the marsh. I actually didn't even see her until I downloaded the photo.
