Peaceful Saturday
digital 2016
Created for and inspired by Donna/♥DonnazMagicalPix♥ in appreciation for her dedication and quite behind the scenes assistance admining "The Hypothetical Awards and associated groups"
Behind the scenes quietly and conscientiously Donna has for many years been a wonderful help for us (at Hypo and Co).
How she also manages to find the time to run her own groups and help others admin theirs and also produce magical and inspirational creations is beyond my comprehension.
Thank you so much Donna .. you help epitomise the true spirit of flickr...!
May the magic touch you-♥DonnazMagicalPix♥

A small fishing craft and a paddle boarder returning to Steveston Harbour,
BC Canada
Golden hour - low in the sky, evening sun
Steveston is a charming fishing village that is situated in Richmond BC, on the Mighty Fraser River
Canada
Definitely one of British Columbia's best kept secrets.
If you enjoy quaint fishing villages, combined with light and vibrant colours, I am pleased to extend an invitation for you to browse through my.... 'I 💖 Steveston album'

hope the rocks don't come tumbling down...about 2.5 hours away from my house..
might go there tomorrow...if i'm not too tired...
I headed East towards St.Andrews for this shot
It never ceases to amaze me how much beautiful open farmland we have in Fife.

It's pretty cool to get to know new people
You may see sides of them you wouldn't even think of existed in human beings
Some can be
So pure and simple
Love and respect all the way
The most important sides I can see in a human being
I have a deep love for this person that has come into my life
He is like this image
A heart of gold
Symbolized with the sun as the heart and
His 3rd eye
The 3rd eye is for Intuition
The lake for the flow he is in
The sky for heading up high
The green forest is of course his green eyes
Do they ever exist these green eyes
Does he exist
Yes
I feel humble that you have come into my life
I fell in LOVE with S.Africa this last Autumn!! With its animals, AND people, AND cultures !!

I dedicate these photos AND this song to my beloved friend Ian Lindsay –❤️ a magical video of HIS own creation in YouTube!! He has been the leading force in me, in order to realize this trip of my dreams, with his Love and respect for me, and his Africa! He was one of the mostly distinguished and brilliant Animal Photographers in flickr!! With a heart of gold!!He has left this world suddenly last September , and he broke my heart….

Golden trees at Dural. The Hills District of Sydney.
At 460 Galston Road, Dural.
On the border with Galston.
Dural and Galston are two semi-rural suburbs in north-western Sydney. My home is nearby to here.
And here, to celebrate Autumn in the Hills District of Sydney, is Neil Young with 'Heart of Gold':

Processed in Adobe Lightroom and PhotoPad Pro by NCH software.
This title came to my mind when I saw the two crested grebes perform their bonding ritual. The phrase heart of gold is usually used to describe someone with a kind nature. Neil Young‘s song of the same title was about a man who was unlucky in love and kept searching for someone to love him, it is also his only song to reach a number 1 rank on the billboard top 100 in the US.

Neil...back in the day!!! SIGH!
I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold.
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
I've been to Hollywood.
I've been to Redwood.
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold.
I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold.
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keep me searching for a heart of gold.
You keep me searching for a heart of gold.
And I'm getting old.
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.
...Neil Young (the one and ONLY!)
LOL...Eliza knows that her goggles are not the lights that miners wear...but she is pretending! :D
I spotted this golden heart hanging on a Lovelock tree and wondered about Gingerfish and Ladyblue. The fact that they have not used their real names got me wondering about their story.
"The cost of not following your heart is spending your life wondering what might have been."
“Anyone can have a friend, but the one that would walk in a storm to find you is all you will ever need.” – Shannon L. Alder

...for this weeks "Smile On Saturday"...thank you for taking the time to view, comment and / or adding this photo to your favorites!
Enjoy the upcoming weekend and stay healthy!
Actually, I was following a beautiful bird. He had such wonderful rust-colored feathers on his back and amber eyes.
To get a reasonably nice picture, I had to walk through some marshy terrain and ruined my shoes. But it was worth it, because I not only got the bird, but also a heart of gold. I'll post the bird tomorrow.
Thanks for viewing, comments and faves, much appreciated! :)
Happy Saturday everyone!
Remembering Bob
He was an old-fashioned, kind, worldly loved,
generous, spiritual man of words and letters,
who deeply affected my life for the past 32 years
with his deep faith in humankind.
It's been an emotional week,
filled with memories and gratitude for a rare soul
who was an incredible inspiration to all who knew him.
The "middle section" is part of a sympathy card I sent to Bob's sister, since she was also aware of his love for pressed flowers and leaves.
