Hawkwind in about 1976 or 1977.

Best I could recover on the scanner from some appaling old pictures but I thought it might be of interest. This is the 'Atom Henge' tour. They were hollow fibre-glass columns with different coloured lights inside and they had spanning sections to join them together at the top but the stage at the Kursaal wasn't big enough for the whole construction.

Keyboard set up, December 1976, Kursaal, Sothend on Sea. I think the one in the middle is a Solina String Ensemble, it's a Korg something-or-other on the bottom and a Mini Moog on top. They were using a Mellotron in '76 but I think they'd given it up by this tour, no photo to tell me and I certainly can't remember!
