(sized to an official LEGO® nano-scale minifig)

Recently I've been very much enjoying designing in mini-scale, and I'm pretty proud on my latest Millennium Falcon design.

I tried to get as much details into the tiny space as possible, which was quiet challenging, especially the recreation of the curved top panels.

I designed additional Landing Gear and a removable Landing Ramp to display the Falcon on it's own.

The main purpose of this build is to display it on your desk or shelf, so I built an additional all-black stand to securely display the Falcon in an angled position, featuring the Rebel Alliance emblem and my own logo.

Very important for me was to design the Falcon and stand in a very sturdy and robust way, so you can really swoosh around the Falcon without having to worry about the stability at any point.

Older script drafts just called for freezing Han Solo.

Ben never forgave his dad for making him run the snowblower.

I did a supportive photo shoot for a beloved person that currently is struggling with the diagnosis of breast cancer and going through a hard time with chemo therapy. Supporting in any way is good, even with bringing a smile through some supportive Stormtroopers under the command of Darth Vader :-)

Fett: No fair I shot you down Solo!

Han: No you didn't

Fett: Your rear shields failed, the Falcon is toast.

Han: No way! Chewie fixed them before you were able to shot me down.

Even play time doesn't go well for these two.

Han is a stunning straight out of the box... Chewie, well, he has well-documented muzzle moustache issues but after a fair of futzing I'm more than happy with him now.

A long time ago in a toy box far, far away....

In order to try and do something a little bit different to some of the other Star Wars work here on Flickr, back in July / August time I decided that it would be a good idea to create some new accommodation for my Star Wars characters. As much as they enjoyed being photographed in my back garden and on my table-top they would NOT shut up about getting onto the property ladder...

They were all looking a little cramped inside my toy box anyways and they seem to be very happy with their new digs, for now at least! ;o)

Poor Greedo, Solo didn't have to fry him like that. No, wait, HE DID!

I designed this MOC in honor of the 40th anniversary of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK this Year.

Because Episode V is my all time favorite STAR WARS movie, I challenged myself to make the best Cloud City-model I could possibly design, and therefore I worked 4 intense weeks on it. I used over 100 pictures of source material and watched the movie-sequence over and over again, to spot all the details.

The Diorama depicts a total of 9 different locations: Landing Platform 327, Entrance Hall, Main and Side Corridor, Viewport, North Corridor, Control Room, Incinerator Room, Dining Room.

I am especially proud of the fact that you can recreate a total of 14 movie scenes from Episode V with this Diorama!

Additionally, the entire model can be divided into 3 stand-alone modular sections as shown in the pictures, not only for easy transport, but each section can be displayed on it’s own without having compromises in terms of otherwise hidden design gaps.

This Picture Best Encapsulates My 3 Favorite Loves; The Muppets, Star Wars, and Lego!

I’ve been messing around with my camera again, trying to find the right balance of shutter speed and ISO to get a crisp photo with a tiny aperture. The little stud-built figures are about double the size they should be, but I feel like I’ve hit the micro-scale limit! I’m thinking of adding these figures to all of my ‘bigger’ micro ships, price is an issue because of colour availability, I’ll keep working on that. Han captivates his audience with tales of intergalactic adventure!

After almost a year of not posting customs I'm glad not only to be back but also to show you the smuggler himself... Han Solo

I based his appearance on his Empire Strikes Back look, mainly because that's my favorite look for him but also since I've been doing a ESB crew for a Millennium Falcon MOC I've been working on.

Most of what you see was either sculpted or painted, the jacket was made using masking tape, taped to a sheet of paper to give it the fabric look but making it a bit easier to work with, the belt was made using Aaron's (Legomatic9) tutorial so full credit goes to him, the face is the one used for the SOLO sets since I think it looks the most like Harrison Ford and I didn't want to paint my own. The blaster is a Brickarms DL-44 provided by the lovely team at firestartoys

I'm trying a more Hot Toys style of editing for the showcases but I'm still getting the hang of it, so I'd really appreciate any feedback on the presentation of the figures :)
