"The AT-ST kept spitting lasers at us, and we kept sinking lower and lower into the snow. Each blast took another bite out of the lip of the trench."
―Chanda Bethari describes an AT-ST firing on Hoth
AT-STs were commonly used to screen the flanks of larger assault walkers for major ground operations. The Empire used them for swift reconnaissance and troop support. As such, they were essential for cleaning up minor resistance along the path of a planned invasion route, and could quickly eliminate any small threats that evaded an AT-AT's barrage. The walker was commonly used on anti-personnel hunting missions, and was piloted by two AT-ST drivers with superior skills of balance and agility.
I got this figure a while back, but I recently looked up the Legends canon and I am very impressed. While I know, we won’t be getting a movie with this character it’s a shame, because she is kinda badass. I also created a Thrawn custom, because I absolutely loved him in Rebels.
After the fighting, the empire deploys its large shuttles with troops to collect the remains of the rebels and all their technology, including weapons.

The Mandalorian – "Chapter 13: The Jedi"
"...By nightfall, she and the youngling were telepathically communicating through the Force under the light of a lantern and a moon above. Standing up, Tano picked up the youngling, who, as she had discovered through their telepathic communication, was named Grogu and raised in the Jedi Temple.
Shortly afterwards, Tano brought Grogu and the lantern closer to Djarin and sat down next to the youngling. Djarin asked if Grogu was speaking to her and if she understood him. To this, Tano answered that she and Grogu could feel each other's thoughts.
Djarin was shocked at learning Grogu's name for the first time and questioned the name upon hearing it. Tano reaffirmed that his name was Grogu and explained to Djarin that Grogu had been raised in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and that he had been trained by many masters over his many years.
However, she went on to explain that he had been hidden away by someone at the temple at the end of the Clone Wars when the Galactic Republic was reorganized into the Galactic Empire, but, after that, his memory became clouded and he did not remember much of the years following. Continuing on, Tano explained that Grogu had felt lost and alone after the Jedi Order's collapse...."
Ahsoka Tano was a former Jedi Padawan who, after the Clone Wars, helped establish a network of various rebel cells against the Galactic Empire.
After the accident of the night in Hoth flic.kr/p/22LvinG , the imperial troopers sent out the code signal of extreme distress signal early yesterday morning when it was about 2 parsecs away.

―Darth Sidious[src]
Darth Sidious, born Sheev Palpatine and known simply as the Emperor, was a human male Dark Lord of the Sith who reigned over the galaxy as Galactic Emperor of the First Galactic Empire. Rising to power in the Galactic Senate as the senator of Naboo, the manipulative Sith Lord cultivated two identities, Sidious and Palpatine, using both to further his political career. He masterminded the Clone Wars in order to gain dictatorial powers during the final years of the Galactic Republic. After the fall of the Jedi Order, Sidious established a reign lasting from 19 BBY until his demise in 4 ABY. Death was not the end for Sidious, however, as the dark side of the Force was a pathway to abilities that made his return possible.
Born on the Mid Rim planet Naboo around 84 BBY during the Republic Era, Sidious possessed a strong connection to the Force, and was secretly trained in the ways of the Sith by Darth Plagueis. He eventually killed his Sith Master in order to train his own Sith apprentice, Darth Maul, for the Rule of Two limited their ranks to two Sith Lords at any given time. As a result of the Invasion of Naboo, a crisis orchestrated by Sidious, the Senate elected Palpatine as Supreme Chancellor. The Separatist Crisis and the Clone Wars were masterminded by Sidious and his new apprentice, Darth Tyranus, in an effort to achieve galactic dominance. Following an attempt to arrest the chancellor, the Great Jedi Purge commenced with Sidious enacting Order 66.
With the Jedi all but extinct, Sidious installed the New Order in the Republic's place, declaring himself Galactic Emperor and bringing an end to a millennium of democracy. He had also taken another new apprentice, having lured the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker to the dark side and transforming him into Darth Vader. Their reign was virtually unchallenged for a generation until the formation of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. During the Galactic Civil War, the Emperor sought to replace Vader with his son, Luke Skywalker. However, Sidious' plan backfired when Vader ultimately renounced the dark side and killed Sidious to protect Luke. Thus, with the Sith's destruction, the Force was brought back into balance, fulfilling Anakin's destiny as the prophesied Chosen One.
Through his master's teachings, however, Sidious transferred his essence to an imperfect clone vessel that had been modeled on his original body. Anticipating the possibility of defeat, he created the Contingency to destroy the Galactic Empire and replace it with a new Sith Empire. His plans culminated in the destruction of the New Republic and the emergence of the First Order, the creation of Supreme Leader Snoke, who turned Ben Solo—heir to the Skywalker bloodline—to the dark side, and the establishment of the Final Order. When the Emperor announced his return to the galaxy in 35 ABY, the Resistance invaded the planet Exegol, Sidious' hidden stronghold in the Unknown Regions. During the battle, he discovered a dyad in the Force in the form of the bond between Solo and Rey, a Jedi apprentice sired from the Emperor's bloodline. His ambition of eternal rule was finally quashed when Rey called upon the strength of past Jedi to vanquish her grandfather by turning his own power against him, destroying Sidious and his Sith Eternal cultists.

My latest LEGO Star Wars Mini-Scale Kessel Run Millennium Falcon rendered by tz_machine and sized to an official LEGO® nano-scale minifig.
The Falcon contains 561 pieces.
I tried to get as much details into the tiny space as possible, which was quiet challenging, especially the recreation of the curved top panels as well as the extended front part.
I designed additional Landing Gear and a removable Landing Ramp to display the Falcon on it's own. Very important for me was to design the Falcon and stand in a very sturdy and robust way, so you can really swoosh around the Falcon without having to worry about the stability at any point.

"Mandalorian and baby Yoda return home after finishing a new job.."
"I'm trying to evoke the aesthetics of not just the original trilogy but the first film. Not just the first film but the first act of the first film. What was it like on Tatooine? What was going on in that cantina? That has fascinated me since I was a child, and I love the idea of the darker, freakier side of Star Wars, the Mad Max aspect of Star Wars."
―Jon Favreau

Is it safe to fly when it's snowing?
Before taking off, the plane can accumulate ice or snow on the wings. To avoid this, a viscous solution based on hot water and alcohol is applied that keeps the fuselage clean for about 20 minutes. Once in the air, snow and cold are not a problem, as airplanes take advantage of the heat from the engines to dissolve the accumulation of ice on the surface. In addition, they also have windshield wipers to keep the front windows in good condition, which as if that were not enough, are made up of four layers joined together by a thin gold film that heats them by electricity.
You have to fly low if it starts to snow ... but be careful with mountains and hills.
...The Empire Strikes Back features Boba Fett as the "next major villain" behind Darth Vader. Fett tracks the Millennium Falcon to Cloud City, where Vader captures its passengers and tortures its captain, Han Solo. Wanting to collect a bounty on Solo, Fett confronts Vader about whether Solo will survive carbon freeze. Vader promises that the Empire will compensate Fett if Solo dies; after Solo is determined to be alive, Vader turns him over to Fett...

I designed additional Landing Gear and a removable Landing Ramp to display the Shuttle in it's landing position with inwards folded wings.
The main purpose of this build is to display it on your desk or shelf, so I built an additional all-black stand to securely display the Shuttle in an angled position, featuring the Galactic Empire emblem and my own logo.

In The Empire Strikes Back, the Empire attacks Rebel Echo Base located in Hoth. The Rebels are alerted before the attack, and raise some sort of shield to prevent orbital bombardment of their base. The Empire is then forced to deploy land forces to first disable the shield generator, before destroying the base.
Leia princess:
"All troop carriers will assemble at the north entrance. The heavy transport ships will leave as soon as they're loaded. Only two fighter escorts per ship. The energy shield can only be opened for a short time, so you'll have to stay very close to your transports"
Sandcrawlers, originally called digger crawlers, were huge mobile fortresses used by the Jawas as their transport and shelter in the deserts of Tatooine and Arvala-7. They were equipped with a magnetic suction tube for sucking droids and scrap into the cargo hold. They also contained cargo holds, scrap-processing facilities, and quarters for crew and passengers. They were large enough to fit an entire Jawa clan.
Built by the Corellia Mining Corporation as massive mobile mining and smelting facilities, sandcrawlers appeared to be treaded boxes that towered some 20 meters above the surrounding landscape. They possessed a triangular front that held the cockpit. Corellian Mining intended the vehicles to serve as semi-autonomous mining operations in rough frontier worlds. Their primitive but reliable nuclear fusion steam reactors and multiple treads ensured they seldom broke down, and their weight and armor meant they could survive the harshest environments.
Sandcrawlers were robust and customizable enough that they could be found all across the galaxy and were put to uses they were not originally designed for. For example, on the desert planet of Tatooine, many sandcrawlers had been left behind by various mining consortiums over the years, only to be salvaged and repurposed by nomadic Jawa clans.
The Jawas roamed the wastes of Tatooine looking for scraps to sell and trade to moisture farmers and nomads. Sandcrawlers had large cargo holds, scrap-processing facilities, and enough space for quarters for an entire Jawa clan.
For the Jawas, sandcrawlers functioned as transportation as well as shelter from the harsh desert environment.
They were commonly used as part of scavenging operations and contained large cargo holds capable of holding 1,500 droids at a time. Magnetic suction tubes allowed the Jawas to quickly suck droids and pieces of scrap into the holds.
Inside the sandcrawler, Jawas typically utilized the reactor to melt down scrap metal and droids.
Making Of
Had the honor of making this fun wedding topper for my best friends' wedding cake yesterday. The nerd love runs strong with them 💙💚
The Empire disintegrated with the death of Rax, the disappearance of Sloane, and the failure of the Imperial counteroffensive which ended with the loyalists' catastrophic defeat in the Battle of Jakku.
The Empire forever changed as it was pushed back to a handful of sectors on the fringe of the Outer Rim, containing only a small fraction of the galaxy's population and industrial base. These sectors were a heavily fortified final redoubt, and the New Republic deemed that they posed too minor of a threat to justify the high cost in life that liberating them would require.
The New Republic then forced Grand Vizier Amedda to capitulate the Empire and settle for the Galactic Concordance on Chandrila, a humiliating armistice agreement which imposed strict disarmament plans and punishing reparations on the Empire. Treaty stipulations included outlawing the recruitment and mobilization of the Stormtrooper Corps, paying heavy war reparations, adhering to strict disarmament treaties, abandoning the numerous Imperial Academies scattered across the Empire, banning torture, and ceding its capital of Coruscant to the Republic.
Chancellor Mothma then issued another declaration designating all surviving officers war criminals, though she granted conditional pardons to all civilian functionaries including Amedda, provided they complied with the Concordance. While regulating what remained of the Empire's once-mighty military-industrial complex, thus limiting its ability to wage war, the treaty did permit elements of the Imperial Navy to remain in pre-determined boundaries in the Core Worlds and the Inner Rim.
At the command of the Republic, they were recalled to the Core; however, some did not obey.
After the Battle of Hoth, the frozen planet is again inhabited by smugglers and bounty hunters as a hideout. These last ones, led by the armorer, in their search for silence, find on the planet Hoth a perfect place to disappear for a while.
"Ever since the XP-38 came out, they just aren't in demand."
―Luke Skywalker upon selling his X-34 landspeeder to Wioslea
Imperial modification of the XP-34/38.
The X-34 was an open-air/sealed cockpit civilian landspeeder manufactured by SoroSuub Corporation. One famous owner was Luke Skywalker.
Durable if not stylish, the X-34 featured holographic displays, a computer for ground navigation, and a number of repulsor counterbalances for smooth and steady travel over rough terrain. Its maximum altitude was 1 meter (100 cm), but its usual cruising altitude was roughly 10 cm above ground level. It utilized three turbine engines to propel the vehicle forward. Its repulsorfield generator housing was located behind the cockpit. Its power circuit was located in front of the cockpit.
The X-34 retailed for roughly 10,550 credits new, 2,500 used. It was light and unarmored and lacked weapon mounts, making it unsuitable for military applications, unlike the Flash speeder or the Rebel combat speeder, also manufactured by SoroSuub.
The open-air landspeeder could be piloted through the use of a steering wheel and foot pedals, and featured a retractable duraplex windscreen. In addition, the vehicle cockpit featured holographic displays as well as a computer for ground navigation.
