This is only the second vintage sterling silver ring of this kind (missing the stone) I've ever found so I was So excited when I did. Of course I wanted to shoot a tiny feather wet plate collodion tintype to go inside. I placed it in the setting and then realized I needed to resize it to a more average size. With the helpful expertise of my silversmith mentor, Brad, I was able to get it to the perfect size using a torch without damaging the image or the protective covering. It turned out beautiful.....And it's Waterproof! The tiny tintype was shot using a 5x7" LF Field camera and an antique 1870's Voigtlander brass lens.
Gave my, new to me, Toyo filed camera a test run last weekend. Many things have been (re)learned. I have some light leaks somewhere in the chain, and I need tighten up my developing process to keep the negs clean. Not a bad start though.

31st May 2020. Olympus OM10 and Foma Fomapan 100 film, developed at home in Kodak D76
A few dust specs and so on, but that's home developing for you.
Note the antennas of radio amateurs who were having some sort of DX competition.

First time shooting Ferrania P33. Film base was quite dark. Scans look nice though. The shots I took with a Yellow filter are a little thin, but that might be a "my camera thing"

A panoramic composite of three frames of Castle Howard in North Yorkshire. Photographed on expired film (Kodak Tmax 100 ASA b&w neg., process before 02 1998!) using a Nikon F301 35mm SLR, with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AI-S manual focus lens and I used an orange filter to enhance contrast in the sky. A 'Harvest Moon' can just be seen at upper left of the temple dome. The film was hand processed using Ilfotec-DDX developer at native 100 ASA and I used some excellent Ilfotol risne aid in the final wash, leaving virtually no watermarks or dust on the negatives to have to spot out after digitisation. I used a Plustek 8200Ai film scanner to digitise the negs to DNG raw files and Capture One Pro 23 to do the post processing and frame stitching.
