The last image of this impressive nature display on a wharf near the ferry landing in Port Townsend WA.
They did a great job of preserving this huge skeleton and presenting it in an ideal setting. Definitely worth a visit when in the neighborhood.

Lately there are many crows in the area and Gunther is quite annoyed with them.

Everything is covered by moss and Gunther loves the softness.

It amuses me that Gunther looks like he's wearing cat foot frumpy socks, or legwarmers, on both front legs.

Can anyone tell me why the colors look so flat and lifeless on the web? This same file looks much better in iPhoto. My skin has more color, Oliver is deeper orange, and the wall behind us is a richer gold. But I just can't get the file on flickr to look as good. I art confused.
**EDIT** Hmmm. I'm still not sure what the problem was, but today it looks better.

The most challenging hike I did so far. But beautiful! The path zig-zags over the ridge until you reach the mountain to the left (Peitlerkofel).
