Sachsenhausen-Oranienburg concentration camp just outside Berlin. From 1936 - 1945 over 50,000 innocent victims of the Nazis perished in Sachsenhausen in conditions of appalling brutality. The camp became a training ground for the execution of the Holocaust and ultimately the center of the whole concentration camp system. After the Nazis were defeated, the Soviets turned the camp into a gulag for their own political enemies. Thousands more were to perish over the next five years.

The debut ep from Guilty Parents is finally here. After a lengthy gestation period the band have released this via Danger Lazer Phaser Razor Records and we have got a handful of copies in stock.
Musically the band say they are influenced by "Die Kreuzen, Make-Up, COC, Mummies, Bad Form,
Bad Seeds, Flag, Sonics, Penetraiters, Poison Idea, Gories, Murder City Devils, Gun Club..." - i'm a fucking idiot though, so i'll just say this is no pretension, ultra rock'n'roll with a fucking punk as fuck heart. Its the tightest sloppy lo-fi rock band ever. For real - this dichotomy exists within this band.
They have already played with Part Chimp, Souvaris, Lovvers, Male Bonding, Army of Flying Robots, Crocodiles, Ramming Speed, An Albatross and Limp Wrist, which is cool!

One of my simple guilty pleasures that I indulge in on every trip to the DC metro area: A "Half Smoke" hot dog (slightly larger and spicier sausage, halfway between a typical smoked sausage and a hot dog, hence the name), with mustard and "cooked onion" sauce, from a cart outside a Metro station (Ballston, in this case).
Jack is ....a powerful force in my life. When Jack pouts, I respond. He had this need last night, knowing the last of his Haagen-Dazs was waiting for him in the freezer. Haagen-Dazs for a dog, you ask? Jack has a very discerning palette, if it's food he eats it. (Previous photos show him eating avocado, a favorite) When he had a run with Kennel Cough he had to take Robitussin and the only way I could get it down him was with ice cream...need I say more?

GUILTY ! OK , acknowledgement here. Castro is not the only one who would label the Bush administration 'guilty'. Seen in the window of a factory in Vedado, Havana.
Flying home to my friend's wedding reception I was aboard the plane looking at those inflight magazines.
Next thing you know I see these pictures, so I read the article and it was interesting. For some reason it was really interesting..
I don't know if it was looking at the picture themselves, the composition, the black and white, the cyanotype... I don't know but this article sits at my desk constantly drawing the attention of my eyes.
But!!!
I'm guilty of it: tearing articles out of magazines... for the sake of photography.
Billy asked if Denver ever looks angry, and while I can assure you the answer to that question is "no," he isn't always smiling... only most of the time.
I have too many dolls that are without clothes so I bought some pieces... the grey vest is one and the black & white among them. It does not really suit the style of clothes I usually make (somewhere between old fashion and mori style? , but it is better than many naked dolls.
The two small girls are dressed by me. Mia is back in her winteroutfit.
And the dress I made last week went to a friend in France for her girl. Within this week I'll have another done for my Benetia.
Day 148 of 365 (Tuesday) - My partner finally finished over six weeks of jury service yesterday, much to the delight of us all! As a result although I was up with my baby son at 4:30am we got to lie down after breakfast for a daytime nap. It has been such a long time since I have seen sunshine whilst still in bed. Beautiful to see, but even lovelier to shut my eyes to.
The first real shot taken with my first DSLR, only steps away from the front door of the downtown camera store.
