To the left of this tree, out of frame obviously, is a bench where we were sitting looking around for some good spots to photograph when a dog came up and said hello. It then proceeded to turn around and pee on Harley's knee and my camera bag. My bag spent the rest of the day being scrubbed with Dettol Surface Cleaner... Highlight of the day.
A beautiful sunset at Nubble Lighthouse , located at Cape Nedick in York, Maine. An added bonus is having the Lighthouse decorated for the Christmas Holiday Season.

This afternoon I read a great article in digital photo mag about how you can set three separate exposures of one picture in raw shooter and then blend them in ps. The resultant is a pic with a vastly improved dynamic range. What do you think?
It is also worth noting that this took no time to achieve. If you want more details I would be happy to provide them – alternatively get the mag………. This mag is top of my things to but list from now on

A candle I keep on my kitchen table and like to light from time to time. I find it helps me calm down when I'm stressing about something.
Today we finally saw the current exhibition at the contemporary art museum, by the Romanian artist Ciprian Muresan. I'm very happy we went, since one of his works is among my favorite pieces of modern art. It is called "communism never happened" and consists of vinyl cut-out letters, spelling this message. The beacon light on the cape of Carry-le-Rouet. In the distance (left side of photo) is Marseille a bit visible.
Like last year (2013) this was the Southernmost point of our holiday.
Carry-le-Rouet
Carry-le-Rouet is a commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in southern France.
Carry-le-Rouet is a seaside resort located 30 kilometres west of Marseille by highway A55, then route D5, set at the foot of pine-covered hills.
From December to February every year is held the famous "oursinades", a tasting of sea urchins and various shellfish which are ultra fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Many connoisseurs take part in this festival.
Comic actor Fernandel, who built his family's house above the beach in the 1930s.
The singer Nina Simone, who lived out the last years of her life in Carry-le-Rouet and died at her home in 2003.

A photo I did in the early 1990s. This is Tropical / Island Fun Barbie 2 with cut hair. I had Lisa Brown from "Guiding Light" in mind (I loved her!!) when I did this haircut. So this doll became "Nola". Here is a pic of Nola taking a bath:

There are 2 or 3 light signal station at this narrow passage point.
One of the crucial signalling station guiding navigation at the narrow rip at the heads of Port Philip Bay. The current can be as swift as 6 knots as the 25km cube of water funnelling in and out of the bay through here. Every polar bear has his own guiding star. Mother-bear shows it to her child in the middle of cub's first polar night and then the bear can always ask his star for help when life becomes too hard. But no matter Ursa's mother tried she could not find his guiding star on the sky...
For a long-long time Ursa felt unwanted and neglected by the world around him. However, one sunny morning he has noticed his reflection in the ice-hole. Little sparkling star was right on his forehead and silently waited for him all this time. Ursa asked his star to light the way for him and all the darkness disappeared from Ursa's heart. Everything became possible, no more fears and tears left inside. Ever since, he is happy and keen as mustard. Was it star's help or it's just Ursa has believed in himself?;) Anyways he is able now to be the guiding light for anybody else who has lost and needs help.
No sewing machine or any other kind of machine was used while creation. Only hands, needles, threads, a lot of different materials and a flask of starlight =)

This is the lighthouse at Lilla Varholmen in the west coast of Sweden. It was built in 1927. It has a beautiful location on top of the hill with great view over the harbour. The photograph was taken past sunset.
