Taken in Courthézon, France.

A lovely autumn morning in the Dutch Speulderbos, the Netherlands. Conditions like these make me completely feel in the 'zone', chasing the light, looking for moments and scenes that stand out to me, while losing track of time. That is until the light gets harsh, when it feels like waking up from a beautiful dream.

Pegaus is a mythical winged divine stallion, and one of the most recognised creatures in Greek mythology. Usually depicted as pure white, Pegasus is a child of the Olympian god Poseidon. ... Friend of the Muses, Pegasus created Hippocrene, the fountain on Mt.

Here however, Pegasus is seen on the bonnet of a 1930 MG saloon... Some distance away from Ancient Greece, in Stony Stratford.

Sometimes we need little reminders that in the storm, in the rain, there's always a chance to have protection and light. Sometimes we need to look for it, sometimes it just arrives like magic, but it's there.

The northern shoveler, known simply as the shoveler in Ireland, is a common and widespread duck. It breeds in northern areas of Europe and across the Palearctic and across most of North America, wintering in southern Europe, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, Central, the Caribbean, and northern South America.

This species is unmistakable in the northern hemisphere due to its large spatulate bill. The breeding drake has an iridescent dark green head, white breast and chestnut belly and flanks. In flight, pale blue forewing feathers are revealed, separated from the green speculum by a white border. In early fall the male will have a white crescent on each side of the face. In non-breeding (eclipse) plumage, the drake resembles the female.

The female is a drab mottled brown like other dabblers, with plumage much like a female mallard, but easily distinguished by the long broad bill, which is gray tinged with orange on cutting edge and lower mandible. The female's forewing is gray. (wikipedia)

The species is resident and a breeding species in Ireland. Wintering birds originate from breeding populations which range across France, northern Europe, the Baltic and western Russia. Ireland and northern Britain also support the small Icelandic breeding population during the winter. (Birdwatch Ireland)

This male Shoveler was present on the pond in Turvey Nature Reserve in North County Dublin.

I've been desperately wanting to complete this project for a long time and I finally have it at a complete enough state to allow visitors to check it out! I've combined Yavanna Llanfair's YavaScript Pod transport system with my Teegle animesh horses! The horses are the actual guides that will walk around the region automatically when you sit on them just like those YavaPods you'll randomly see on the roads of SL mainland. If you're curious to check them out, come visit! Two riders can sit on one horse at the same time and there are only 3 horses available, but I think that's more than enough for now.

LA GUIDA

Mio nonno mi ha insegnato la strada

Verso Est,

per concedermi la forza degli orsi;

Verso Sud,

per concedermi la forza dell'aquila;

Verso ovest,

per concedermi la saggezza del gufo;

Verso Nord,

per concedermi l'astuzia della volpe;

Sulla terra,

affinché mi doni i suoi frutti:

Sul cielo,

affinché conduca una vita buona.

THE GUIDE

My grandfather taught me the way

Towards East,

to grant me the strength of bears;

Towards the South,

to grant me the strength of the eagle;

Towards the west,

to grant me the wisdom of the owl;

To the north,

to grant me the cunning of the fox;

On earth,

so that it gives me its fruits:

On the sky,

so that he leads a good life.

I decided to rework the Moonlight Blade, for I wasn't happy with the original design.

"As my mind began to succumb to despair, I glimpsed it- a faint sliver of light. It was a fleeting thing, yet I yearned for it. Driven by some ineffable desire, I pushed forward. The pain of the wind lashing at my skin, the cold burning away my nerves, vanished. It was then I was consumed by the brilliant blue and silver. I had found it- my savior- my guiding moonlight."

This was one of my first shots on a long exposure. Decided for 30 seconds @200 ISO. The backslash is electronic noise.

Better seen with a black background.

This was taken in Sydney Australia. I waited over 30 minutes for the storm to pass. Eventually the sun shine through. I hope you can feel the power of nature as I did when I saw this scenery. (I am really enjoying black & White)
