For my Mother on Mother's Day 2023.
I wish all mothers a happy day today. They often do not realise how much they are a guiding light in our lives, shaping our hopes and dreams from the earliest of days. Today is particularly poignant for my Mum. This is her first Mother's Day in 67 years that she has not shared with my late father. Hard to believe it has been six months already since he died. You are loved Mum.

I had to do some errands on Saturday and took the Oreston with me in the hope that I could do some experiments with it in the evenig.
I'm still trying to get my mojo back ... I think I might be on the right track. It's fun to play with the Oreston. Sorry about the bout of bokeh madness lately; maybe I should do a 100 x Oreston on 2023 ... no, I am just kidding 😂

Ich musste am Samstag ein paar Besorgungen machen und nahm das Oreston (Meyer Optik Görlitz Oreston = altes analoges Objektiv) mit, in der Hoffnung, dass ich am Abend ein paar Experimente damit machen könnte.
Ich versuche immer noch, mein Muse wiederzufinden ... und ich glaube, ich könnte auf dem richtigen Weg sein.
Sorry für den "Bokeh-Wahnsinn" der letzter Zeit, aber es macht einfach Spaß, mit dem Oreston zu spielen.
well our guide seemed relaxed, he was more interested in texts than anything else... if only we knew if he was guiding the shadows to us or showing our way out... oh... it would be so much more comforting if the exit was up rather than down... was crystal city above us or below?
When I first stated going on safaris in Africa, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the antelopes. First I saw the very common impala and then more varieties have been added to my sightings. I always have to refresh my memory when I reach the continent as to who is who because keeping them straight is also overwhelming. Luckily the guides are eager to help.
You may have noticed by now how different the vegetation is at each of the parks. Some areas had received rain and some had not. My safari was during the Green Season when rain is likely. I take my chances because the prices are more reasonable and because I travel alone, without a group, every shilling counts.
