My wiener dog, Goldie guarding a bone she had just buried at our campsite on North Star Lake in the Chippewa National Forest near Marcell, Minnesota.

Two of the many puffins that I saw on the Farne Islands last summer during a short visit.

I was challenged by my very dear friend Ethan to partake in the #guardyourlight challenge that T E E J ✿ launched spontaneously a few days ago on her Flickr.

I was inspired and snapped this last night. Now it's my turn to challenge some talented artists to keep it alive and do something inspired by those words !

Friends, if you've been tagged,

grab your cameras and "Guard your light! "

----

”You have this way of seeing the Light in others. You have this way of noticing what is beautiful and unique about those around you. And I just hope you know, the same Light you see within others is shining within you too. You have this way of holding up a mirror to others and making sure they feel seen, and this is a very valuable thing. But sometimes, that can make you feel a little less seen yourself... a little less valuable, and less important than everyone else. So in case no one told you lately, it’s okay to turn that mirror around and see you for you, too. And know that no matter who does or does not notice you, Light is running wild within you. It shows up in your laughter. Your stories. Your presence. And I am sorry for all the times no one has taken the time to let you know this, in the same way that you have done this for so many others. I just wanted to remind you this is true: the same Light you see in others is shining within you, too.

Rich is my Mum's guard. He was a tiny puppy when my Son rescued him from sending to Sailors Academy. Noone wanted take him home as he was mixed breed and in addition one eye was brown and other was blue. My Son took him to the countryside where my Mum and Sister live and told them puppy's story. Sister is a nurse and she is away all day, the same Sister's Husband- that time he still worked as mechanic in a bus park. And then my Mum said: I will take care of him....

This friendship lasts until this day. Rich now is my Mum's guard❤️

The Evzones (Greek: Εύζωνες), is the name of several historical elite light infantry and mountain units of the Greek Army.

Today, it refers to the members of the Presidential Guard, an elite ceremonial unit that guards the Greek Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Presidential Mansion and the gate of Evzones camp in Athens. The Evzones are also known, colloquially, as Tsoliades.

ZANDVOORT AAN ZEE - At the end of 2007, the Coast Guard (Kustwacht) took the two current aircraft into service. These Dornier Do228s are managed by Defense, which also supplies some of the crew members. The Dorniers are mainly used for control and observation flights over the North Sea. Incidentally, the aircraft are also deployed elsewhere in Europe, such as recently above Greece. Schiphol Airport is home to the Coast Guard.
