This is a group of parents who work with the CAMFED charity in Zambia to help their community and each other in a number of ways. As well as providing a feeding programme for schoolchildren and supplying school equipment, sanitary towels and other materials, they engage in shared initiatives to improve their livelihoods (such as these chickens they have specially bred).

Parent Support Groups also provide guidance and support to the schoolchildren to help prevent underage marriage and pregnancy, help children with transport to school, and other such things.

When we saw their chickens and their beautiful matching skirts (called chitenge), it had to be a shot like this. I had to let the highlights blow a bit on the chickens, as it was more important to expose for the ladies' faces, but I like it as a shot.

The list of groups I belong to seem endless. Most of which I can't even remember what they are. I have a hard time knowing what photo would be appropriate for any given pool... I definitely need to go through and clean house.

My contact list is just as crazy. My policy from the start has basically been to mark anyone who made a kind comment/fave as a friend or contact. It just seemed to be the polite thing to do... I won't be deleting anyone from that list. But boy, it does make it difficult to keep up.
