✨Perfect for rituals, nature walks, spellcraft, or everyday grounding, these earrings let your magic root deeply and beautifully.
If you happen to like this one, well then I thank you in advance for your company.
I have already told the tale this week about Eddie grounding his boat during a bad divorce and walking away from it in frustration forever. www.flickr.com/photos/eddieelm/14152507690/ Well I'm uploading this image because it is taken from much further away than the traditional Bád Eddie shot and for that reason I could include the footprints of a man walking with his back to the old beauty. Storytelling in a way I suppose ;-) Hope you are all having a great weekend :-)
Due to the MD-11 grounding, FedEx's 777Fs were used on several high demand domestic flights. This one in particular operating FX1234 back to Memphis (MEM). With the MD-11s finally back in service, this sighting is kind of rare, and may not be for a while.
A UPS 747 approaches runway 30L at MSP. Since the grounding and retiring of its MD-11s, UPS has instead been sending 747s to Minneapolis.
The cargo ship the Temple hall was built in London by the Lambert brothers (1954) and renamed to Pentelis in 1969 before changing name again to the Telamon in 1977.
The Telamon now lies between the shores of Arrecife and Costa Teguise in Lanzarote after springing a leak which caused her to run aground on 31st October 1981. The ship had been travelling from Abidjan and San Pedro in the Gulf of Guinea on route to the Greek port of Thessaloniki in the Aegean Sea. The ships poor maintenance was a contributing factor leading the (planned) grounding in its current spot which was chosen to avoid it blocking the port at Los Mármoles, Arrecife. During a later storm the ship was actually snapped in two.
At the time of the accident, 29 crew members were on-board (mostly Greek but with some from Ghana, Mali and the Ivory Coast), they were taken ashore and given accommodation in Casa del Mar and residencies of San Ginés.
This one has eluded me for a while. First it was a casualty of the MAX groundings, arriving at Sunwing right at the start of the grounding. Then it went into pandemic storage, but now its back and being kept busy by Sunwing in the prime Winter season.
Looks really nice in the purple Planet Hollywood colours.
Every time it rains I am reminded of the cycle that gives life to everything around me. To see it fall on the mountains creating streams, carving valleys and sustaining nature around it is such a grounding and visceral experience. You forget that it all comes from somewhere else.

Détail du David de Michel-Ange, à Florence. Dans ses pieds, tout se joue déjà : l’équilibre, la tension, l’élan à venir. Le marbre semble porter le poids du corps autant que celui du geste.
Detail of Michelangelo’s David, in Florence. In his feet, everything is already at play: balance, tension, the impulse to move. The marble seems to carry both the weight of the body and the gesture to come.
Lagik aground on the River Nene Port Sutton Bridge 16th December 2000. She had arrived at the port on the evening tide of 13th December with 2250 tons of steel. Whilst attempting to swing in the turning bay she became wedged across the river. As the tide began to fall she broke her back and was declared a constructive total loss.
G-TUMD : Boeing 737 Max-8 : TUI Airways.
Departuring to Paphos.
G-TUMD was delivered in February 2019, just prior to the Max type being grounded. It spent over two years at Manchester 2019-2021 due to the grounding, followed by Covid.
.. and probably vertical lines symbolising grounding or something similar? who knows - more to ponder on
Divine light in the Canyon
The Grand Canyon is one of those places that make you wonder, even if you are not religious, was this beauty made by the forces of nature or something greater than? In either case the Grand Canyon is a spiritual and grounding experience.
In this particular photo the sun rays enhance the feeling of divinity.

The Oriental magpie-robin (Copsychus saularis) is a small passerine bird that was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family Turdidae, but now considered an Old World flycatcher.
They are distinctive black and white birds with a long tail that is held upright as they forage on the ground or perch conspicuously.
Occurring across most of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia, they are common birds in urban gardens as well as forests.
They are particularly well known for their songs and were once popular as cagebirds.
Due to the FAA grounding all MD-11's FedEx tri-jets N583FE, N590FE & N596FE are seen here with others parked on the south ramp in Memphis.
The American Spirit with a load of ore for Indiana Harbor was pushed by strong currents off its path out of the Duluth harbor and ended up nearly hitting a building. Fortunately they dropped their anchors and stopped just short of impact with the help of shallow water near the wall. The thousand footer was freed later in the evening with the help of two tugs. Fleetmate American Integrity sits at anchor in the distance.
I stood beneath this giant and looked up — and for a moment, I felt small in the best possible way. There was something grounding about its strength, the twists in its limbs like old wisdom reaching toward the sky. It reminded me to stay rooted but still stretch, to hold steady and grow anyway. Funny how a tree can say what words often can't.
Church of Saint Nikolaus in Wildungsmauer (municipality of Scharndorf, district of Bruck in the Leitha), late Romanesque 13-th century, one of few nearly original preserved Romanesque churches of Austria.
Formerly a castle chapel on the grounding of a Roman fort. Around 1200 altered to roman hall church. The tower and the sacristy are later additions (19-th century)

The other day my friend Madonna and I hiked to the top of 70 Mile Butte, highest point in Grasslands Park. It was a vision quest site for First Nations in the past, and it's easy to see why. We'd had a rough day and needed some grounding; 70 Mile always seems to provide this. Early spring on the prairie!

Life continually delivers us challenges, and this tree serves as a great reminded that we need strong roots, and good grounding to keep a positive attitude.
This beautiful tree was spotted at Coronation Park in Oakville, Ontario.

There’s something grounding about these simple compositions on the forest floor.

Standing barefoot on the shores of Isla Canela, watching the day fade into pastel skies. The wet sand becomes a mirror, blurring the line between earth and sky, grounding the body but setting the mind free.
This sweeping landscape captures the majestic presence of The Three Apostles Massif within Colorado's Sawatch Range. From near Cottonwood Pass, sunlit peaks rise dramatically, their rugged faces illuminated by a clear, golden light that highlights every ridge and shadow. Below, a dense carpet of pine forests creates a rich texture, grounding the towering mountains against a sky of dynamic clouds, conveying the immense scale and serene beauty of the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness.
Today, I took a reflective walk through Union Cemetery in Redwood City, Calif. The cemetery's first resident was in 1859. It's a somewhat small cemetery, and was officially closed in 1918. However, it was used for many years after that for burial of the poor. The last official burial here, according to reports, was in 1963. It's sort of run down, and I cut my visit short when some unleashed dogs started threatening me. They were apparently with the homeless who were encamped on the property. Nonetheless, it was a very grounding experience. Pictured is what looks to be an entire family, the Dalves. #X100F
In a world this big, it’s grounding to have someone to stand beside. The mountains remind us how small we are — and how meaningful it is to share the view. Grateful for Evelyn’s adventurous spirit and her excitement for life! Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
Nothing grounds me more than a bit of paint and pens or anything creative really! Today my mind went to thoughts of Spring while the outside world is still white and cold.

Since the grounding of the 7M8 of TUI Belgium, this 737-800W is flying for them. Seen here on arrivals 25L at BRU - EBBR
This photo was taken at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. A lone bison rests among the winter grasses, its weight and presence grounding the open plains. Behind it, leafless trees stand like guardians of the quiet landscape, their branches etched against the cold blue sky. The mountains rise in the distance, dusted in soft winter light. A moment of calmness on the high prairie reflects strength, solitude, and the serenity of the land.
Cheers!

This boat was blown up against the shore, grounding it, during a wind storm that lasted about 3 days in December. How it got there is a bit of a mystery. There was no motor (note the empty outboard bracket), and the sails were more or less furled. The boat was located less than 100m from a yacht club, so likely it is one of theirs, but all their boats are on the hard. I went back a week or so later and she was gone.
Also struggling with Dreamliner groundings, Virgin brought this A340-600 back from storage to provide additional capacity. Now wearing markings giving thanks to Virgin staff
