First put into storage in January 1995 , as was common in the day - the loco was in and out of storage without actually doing anything . It was eventually withdrawn in August 1998 , making the trip north to TJ Thompson of Stockton being cut up in July 2003

Frostbitten I became
Forthwith to see
Crystallized dimensions
To where the unfaithful fly
You might say
I'm demonized
But yet not the only one
YOU MUST COME TO ME
There are nocturnal paths
To follow

Hottest ever Melbourne day (46.4 C), and tragic bushfires around the State. These clouds were generated by massive, and devastating fires to the east of the city.

A grim day greeted Class 50s Nos D433 (50033 Glorious) & D400 (50050 Fearless) as they head the Class 40 Appeal 'Midland Scotsman' charter, 1Z42 0658 Birmingham New Street - Glasgow Central, across Dandry Mire Viaduct. It is located just north of Garsdale station, which can just be seen in the murk on the far right of the image. Both 'Hooveres' were carrying pre-TOPS numbers, and had been de-named for the duration they were so-numbered. The tour operated on 5th February 1994, northbound over the S&C while the return was along the WCML over Shap. Copyright Photograph John Whitehouse - all rights reserved
