Having a play around this afternoon with some different lighting techniques.
Image made up by sitting the ring on a piece of white perspex. A YN560IV fired from the right 1/128@70mm, bounce card out and the speedlight lay flat on the table. YN560IV gelled Moss Green fired into a piece of green card behind subject for the spill, 1/8@24mm. Triggered via YN560TX
Needs some refinement definitely but it's one to work on for future images.
An extreme close up of a green bottle fly shot at 10x magnification. Shot using a Canon 5DMKIV, a 200mm tube censusing a Raynox DCR-150 and a Nikon 10x microscope objective lens combination. 196 images stacked to get enough depth of field. Looking for a challenge?? This is it....
Green River overlook view before and after sunrise, I was staying at the campground nearby, I took the 2 evenly lit photos more than 1 hour before sunrise, before going to Mesa Arch, after taking 50+ photos around the sunrise there, I went back to the same spot to take the post sunrise photo.
Whoever always looks for greener grass on the other side will never be able to appreciate the green grass that was right under their feet the entire time.

Along Oregon's historic Highway 30, in the Columbia River Gorge, are several waterfalls, all categorized as natural jewels. This particular fall, the lower along McCord Creek, drops several hundred feet straight down into a beautiful pool, then cascades over several sections before flowing into the Columbia River. The force of the falls creates endless flows of mist in the air, making photography extremely difficult. This particular section of the creek is littered with natural debris, but the constant presence of moisture covers all surfaces with beautiful, lush moss and other vegetation. I captured this composition with the help of some useful waders, just shortly before dusk. One thing about Oregon waterfalls.... the vegetation around them is always green, regardless of the season!
Elowah Falls drop approximately 213 feet (65 m) and flow year round. The falls previously had other names, such as McCord Creek Falls and Pierce Falls [source: www.waterfallsnorthwest.com].

Taken in Bournemouth Gardens last week. I tried to take as much care with the background as the foreground. I like the mix of colour and also the light in the background, thrown off of vegetation.
We were all Irish today, even The Chicago River, Drumpf Tower in the other hand refused & said its a form a political correctness.

This is a fire tornado made out of Legos. (except the cup of flammable liquid of course). Though when Lego decides to produce green fire fuel, we will be the first in line to get some ;)
It uses the green flexible spike as fan blades to create turbulence and thus a vortex for the small flame to grow in. :)

Chrysanthemums (/krɪˈsænθəməm/), sometimes called mums or chrysanths, are flowering plants of the genus Chrysanthemum in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Asia and northeastern Europe. Most species originate from East Asia and the center of diversity is in China. Countless horticultural varieties and cultivars exist.
The name "chrysanthemum" is derived from the Ancient Greek: χρυσός chrysos (gold) and Ancient Greek: ἄνθεμον anthemon (flower).
Chrysanthemums were first cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC. Over 500 cultivars had been recorded by 1630. By the year 2014 it was estimated that there are now over 20,000 cultivars in the world and about 7,000 cultivars in China. The plant is renowned as one of the Four Gentlemen in Chinese and East Asian art. The plant is particularly significant during the Double Ninth Festival.
Chrysanthemum cultivation began in Japan during the Nara and Heian periods (early 8th to late 12th centuries), and gained popularity in the Edo period (early 17th to late 19th century). Many flower shapes, colours, and varieties were created. The way the flowers were grown and shaped also developed, and chrysanthemum culture flourished. The Imperial Seal of Japan is a chrysanthemum and the institution of the monarchy is also called the Chrysanthemum Throne. A number of festivals and shows take place throughout Japan in autumn when the flowers bloom. Chrysanthemum Day (菊の節句 Kiku no Sekku) is one of the five ancient sacred festivals. It is celebrated on the 9th day of the 9th month. It was started in 910, when the imperial court held its first chrysanthemum show.
