A live show as you can see by the microphone one is wearing. Lighting was being run by my daughter who learned it in theatre studies. A production at the high school she teaches in.

With C-19 starting to make a comeback, we're not going far from home these days. Fortunately, there is lot's going on around our house to photograph - including daily visits by a pair of Ruby Throated Humming birds. They zoom in incredibly fast, hover around the Honeysuckle flowers for a quick feed, and dart off like greased lightning again. They are extremely difficult to photograph (for me, at least) but this female perched herself on a branch for sips from a flower, which allowed me to grab a few shots - including this one - catching it at the moment she was leaving. If you ever wonder what it is about Honeysuckle Flowers that attracts them, just pull off one flower at it's base and suck on it - you'll get a tiny sip of sweet nectar.
Grease, oil, muck and other general clag on shunter 'Redcar' at Grosmont shed.
The shunter has an interesting history being built to the specification of a BR Class 11 for ICI for use at Wilton, where it acquired the name 'Redcar'. After a few years at the Mid Hants railway it now lives a little closer to it's original home on the NYMR providing shunting duties around the engine sheds.

I thought I’d upload this collage of-the scene of the crime where yesterday’s upload took place and add in an additional “crime”.
The image to the right is me, dressed as Marty Maraschino, nervously waiting in the change rooms before going out for our first performance.
The second is the Kissing Scene between Marty and Vince Fontaine who judges the dance contest. Marty had a penchant for older men and Vince Fontaine is clearly a creep who targets younger women.
"Vince: Hi. (removes shades) I'm Vince Fontaine. Hey, do your folks know I come into your room every night?
Marty felt uncomfortable.
Vince: Over KZAZ, that is.
She then chuckled, getting the joke"
As a 15 y.o. this was the scene I was most worried about and where another "crime" was committed. During this scene, Vince was supposed to put his hand over my mouth and kiss his own hand. However, on the last night of our performance, unbeknown to me, he had made a bet with his friends that he would not use his hand and kiss me on the mouth. Which he did, much to my horror. Nothing I could do about it on stage in front of a live audience.
I have some recollection of slapping him across the face at one point. I then told him that I should receive any proceeds he made from the bet.
The letter behind is a letter I wrote on stage while lying on the bed as Sandy sings “Hopelessly Devoted to you”
Clearly these posts are just for me and my devoted Flickr family and I hope you don’t mind me posting these recollections.
I will resume normal programming now.
Greased Lightning

On the wall of my seemingly white kitchen, can be seen using UV light, all the grease and oil stains on it.

Palo encebado (Grease pole) is a pole covered with grease which makes it very difficult to climb. On top there are many prices for the person that gets there first like candy ,food, utensils or clothing.

This private residence in Los Angeles was a location for the movie Grease starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. This was Frenchy's home where they had their little sleep-over. If Olivia Newton-John married John Travolta then her name would have been Olivia Newton-John-Travolta???
This home is located at 4524 Kingswell Ave, Los Angeles.

Todays challenge on www.photochallenge.org/ was "Grease"
I have tried to be good and not have greasy breakfasts to often these days, but this gave me an excuse to get bacon and eggs on a roll, a tasty but greasy breakfast, and here is a shot of it before I ate it, funnily enough after thinking about the grease I missed the bagel and cream cheese i normally have these days
am a bit late posting tonight as we had drinks in the office at knock off time, also because of that I may not get to see all your shots tonight, but will catch up tomorrow

After 2 weeks of rubbish internet connection I appear to have got some of it back so I thought I'd post something in case people thought I'd snuffed it.
AND THAT IS NOT MY RECORD!
The car used in Grease was customised, with a different stance, shaved doorhandles, different bumpers and a fancy paint scheme that featured silver lightning bolts outlined in red or purple. These proved to be tricky. Making them just silver made the car look too plain, but using red plates made them stand out far too much. Since I didn't want to resort to stickers, I chose dark lavender as the accent colour, which seems to have done the trick.
2009 Challenge, Day 324: GREASE
This morning I arrive a little late at the office, Friday traffic!!! As soon as I got out of the car close to the bus stop, I saw the puddle and the empty bus with the driver busying himself with something and emergency lights on!!!
First reaction: take the camera out and snap few for today's photochallenge!!
Second reaction: go to the office download yourself and come back!!
Third reaction: go back to first reaction!!
How cool is this shot with bus reflection, from three blocks away Chrysler's bldg. reflection to a bldg. reflecting in the puddle!!! And, hey, I even got rust on the fire hydrant!!! LOL!!!

These exterior scenes from the movie Grease were shot at Venice high school in Venice, California. This lunch area has been recently updated with a covering, hence the shade in my photo. What I found really cool is that there are still some of the older lunch tables still being used today that were present during the filming. See my note.
