Tauplitzalm im Toten Gebirge, Steiermark

Built in 1928, this idyllic hut belongs to the Alt-Herren-Verband of the Akademischer Turnverein Graz. From 1933 to 1934 it was managed by the famous alpinist and Dalai Lama friend Heinrich Harrer, one of the Austrians I admire with great respect.

Had a trip out today to visit my youngest son Liam and his partner Lucy in Cambridgeshire and we took a short walk around the common near their home where horses roam freely

Bunny in our back yard, grazing on the grass..unfortunately he also likes the flowers in our garden! Abbotsford, B.C.

Jeszcze jeden pasący się konik na łąkach wokół Żyrardowa :)

With a mouth full of grass, a grazing black Highland cow stands in a meadow in a strong wind, near Luskentyre, Isle of Harris, Scotland. This is the final one of my Heilan' coo portraits and my personal favorite.

A peaceful flock of sheep grazes on a vibrant field of wildflowers under the soft shadow of distant mountains

Headed out just before the sun went down and was not able to get to one of my normal shots, so I pulled over to get a few photos of this magnificent sky over a pasture to the northwest of Mahomet, Illinois.

Something little different today...a visit to Knole Park in Kent.

A flock of sheep peacefully graze in the meadow as the sun dips below the horizon, bathing the entire scene in a spectacular, fiery orange and golden glow. The perfect end to a day in the countryside.

(EXPLORE) At the end of a long fun day on Vancouver Island, I was heading home around 6:30 at night to get back to my suite for dinner. I took a wrong turn down a pretty street and what luck.....I found this male and a female not far off grazing on the roadside.

The extra few minutes it took to turn back onto the main highway was worth it, and don't you just love those wild daisies everywhere?! :)

A collage of more "pretty" things below in comments.

In East Africa, the blue wildebeest is the most abundant big-game species; some populations perform an annual migration to new grazing grounds, but the black wildebeest is merely nomadic. Breeding in both takes place over a short period of time at the end of the rainy season and the calves are soon active and are able to move with the herd, a fact necessary for their survival. Nevertheless, some fall prey to large carnivores, especially the spotted hyena.

Un'onda improvvisa, più alta delle altre e sospinta dal vento, accarezza delicatamente il sole.. per un attimo.. in un'alba senza nuvole davanti al mare agitato.

A volte così è la vita... :)

This Egyptian Goose is doing a great job of keeping the grass short.

I could do with it in my garden. 😊

Zebras and Wildebeest grazing together on the plains on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. So amazing to have the chance to see them all roam freely and coexist without issues.

On the left of the photo you can barely make out the outline of the wall of the crater. This is huge! The crater floor covers 100 square miles.

Two camels loaded with packs take the opportunity to graze on some brush near the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. The kasbah sits in a small oasis that follows a stream bed in south central Morocco.
