While taking photos of the field and the mountain, this little guy (or girl) came strolling up to say hello, stopping for a moment to let me pet his nose, before continuing on his way.
Kangaroos grazing in the hills above Perth, WA. I couldn't get any closer without scaring them off.
Just looking through some old pictures that I meant to post here.
Photographing this herd of cows was not easy, as the sodding things were moving along, not looking at me when I wanted their attention.
I did manage to capture two of them grazing in the golden afternoon flow.
I love both the Yin-Yang-like symmetry and the colour in this shot.
This photo was taken to capture a grazing table my girlfriend and I put together for a client of ours. Taken from a wider angle with ISO400 with F-stop 4.0, the image aims to showcase the various grazing table elements.
A series of photos taken of a grazing Kudu cow, Addo Elephant Park, close to Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The beauty and grace of these animals are matched with sensory alertness, agility, speed and strength.
The Amish let their pigs graze and they just love to be outside. They are very clean animals and always use the same corner of the pasture to do their duty!

Saw this cow grazing on the hill. With the small amount of lighting behind him i found that just the contrast of the photo would make it quite interesting. Shot this photo in the city of Yucaipa on my way out to Palm Springs.

This is a typical local verity cow, grazing in the fields full of bushes and wild grass. They are typically not that friendly especially to strangers, I was lucky that it was on the other side of the wire fence still charged to me.
For ScavChal 22) Find a cow. It doesn't have to be real, but it must be three-dimensional. No pictures!
This is certainly live and very lively too... see the other pics below
Primarily grazers but can have a very diverse diet.
Often graze on open areas, especially grassland, but
will spend long periods browsing in woodlands. In
hard frosts frozen grassland may be avoided in favour
of heather or gorse or woody plants. Will include
plants such as birch and Molinia (Purple Moor grass)
in their diet which other deer might avoid. Sika
are good at maintaining body condition through the
winter.

Roosevelt elk in Prairie Creek Redwood State Park, CA.
It was the evening of a rainy day in northern California; I stopped by the meadow where Roosevelt elk often graze -- and I was in luck. I got my Nikon D 90 and Nikkor 70 - 200 mm f 2.8, and managed to capture both the elk and the fog. This picture brings to me the memory of a very peaceful evening, of the sense of harmony between Man and Nature. But I wonder if others can feel the same.
