Flash back Friday - In the Detroit area in the 70's, it was the custom to paint your car for graduation. since, Carol, my girlfriend at the time, did not have a car, She painted the passenger side of mine. An oh-so-young me poses with the results.

The University of Washington College of Education celebrated its newest cohort of teachers and educational leaders during graduation ceremonies held June 16 outside of Miller Hall. More than 300 members of the Class of 2014 participated in ceremonies.

It's graduation weekend here in Finland, where young people finishing lukio (equivalent to high school or upper secondary school) proudly wear the white student cap. The cap means its wearer is eligible for university. I had the pleasure of photographing this young couple for their graduation.
