After graduating from High School, we went out to make some memories to send back to her Mom in Cameroon. The girls are currently in Egypt continuing to play tennis.
The graduation of tones at dawn this morning was stunning, there was slight low cloud on the horizon and nothing but clear sky above.
The orange to blue looked amazing, i just hope I have captured it to some degree.
Once again Aston's graduation ceremonies were held at the impressive Birmingham Town Hall, followed by food, drink and entertainment back on campus. Over 1000 students graduated, in 9 ceremonies over 5 days.

Graduation ceremony. A first for all. Best viewed large to see the happy expressions on the parents' faces.

It's that time of year again. Only this time it's my "little" niece's high school graduation. How time flies.

Done for my #1 granddaughter, Brianna, for her graduation from high school this coming Friday, May 25, 2007. The design is from a magazine called "Cross Stitch For All Seasons 2002". It's not a x-st design - go figure! I saved a copy of the design and long ago passed the magazine on to a friend who does a lot of cross stitch. I plan to use it for gifts as each of the grands makes this Rite of Passage.
Graduation isn't exactly the right term, but this is my first skyline shot with my D600, and the difference is as the salesman implied - night and day. The details captured is absolutely marvelous. So glad I made the jump!

On Saturday we were at my daughter Monica's graduation ceremony at Indiana Wesleyan University. She graduated with a nursing degree and has excepted a position with Spectrum here in Grand Rapids.
She was a little excited afer getting her diploma.
At the time of posting these shots, it's graduation season. So in honor of our graduates, here is a series of Tilly from Graduation Week a few years ago.

We decided to shoot Maria outside with Queens University as the backdrop rather than a black background for her graduation shot. It amazes me how they set up indoors and throw a fake background in when they are surrounded by beautiful grounds and hundreds of ideal spots with an abundance of natural light.
Each to their own they say.
Now I'm officially a graduated Fashion Designer :'D
The cerimony happened this last friday (august 15th), it was sooo amazing, I really can't describe it!!
* The left half are architects, and right half are fashion designer!
** They put us together because it would be way too expensive to everybody to make two different cerimonies for like 11 and 12 students
*** Yes, that "costume" is nothing pretty, specially this white "collar" thingy, haha. It's traditional, though.
**** Someone from my family took the photo, all credits to them :)
Not my graduation.
DLSU-M 155th commencement exercise at the PICC.
Fortunately nobody was upstairs during this time so I was able to mount the camera on the tripod. And yes, I had a hard time framing this one since the tripod was like mounted in between chairs.
Congratulations to the graduates!
My brother graduated with his Bachelor's on Monday! Exceptionally proud.

One of the small gift shops that are interested in stocking my cookies asked for some display cookies for graduation done in black and red. (I had decided not to do the wholesale thing, but they are willing to pay me what I want for them, and they have a shop with more exposure, so I figured, why not?)
I like how they turned out, but does anyone have this gown cutter? I think it looks more like a kimono than a graduation gown. I'd love to see pictures of the finished cookie done by someone else!
