Basic beanie hat for my nilbing, knit with two strands of yarn held together for the ombre from brown to orange to red. (They really wanted me to use the neon orange yarn, and I found enough scraps to make a blend that I thought worked).

A faded 50042 arrives down the gradient with the 10.30 from Bodmin General. This was one of a number of Diesel Running Saturdays this summer on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway. This day was 50042's moment in the sun which was going fine on this first run. The ex-Chiltern bubble car has a few outings on a number of dates. 47306 is also scheduled to appear on the 24th August. More on that later..... This is all before the railway's diesel gala at the end of September when they all will feature. Sadly there is no sign of 37142 working in the forseeable future.
