Basic beanie hat for my nilbing, knit with two strands of yarn held together for the ombre from brown to orange to red. (They really wanted me to use the neon orange yarn, and I found enough scraps to make a blend that I thought worked).
simple wool, easy to knit and just gradient in colour so when you do knit it in to a jumper it slowly changes colour. Much easier than knitting a patern.
given this to my mum now, I disliked knitting with it.

0-4-0 tender engine 'Alan Bloom' attacks an adverse gradient on the ten and a quarter inch gauge Garden Railway at Bressingham Steam Museum near Diss in Norfolk. The loco, built in 1995, is a modified version of the Hunslet Engine Company's Quarry design. The line is 1,350 yards long.
