Dr. Denmark was the physician on the voyage that discovered a river here in December 1829 which the naval leader named Denmark River. A timber mill was established here in 1894 to capitalise on the giant timber of the district but the town was not gazetted and established until 1909. The Walpole River was named in 1831 and gave its name to that town. Walpole was not surveyed and selected until 1933 but from 1910 the forests near Walpole were set aside as a National Park – the Walpole-Nornalup Park. Walpole has just 400 residents. 14kms east of Walpole is an area of very slow growing giant trees called Tingles. We see them at the Valley of the Giants where the tree top walk stretches over 600 metres and rises at a very gradual gradient. Eucalyptus jacksonii can live for around 400 years, grow to a height of 75 metres and have a girth of around 24 metres. The wood has a deep pink reddish colour hence the common name of Red Tingle trees. The trees are often burn out but the buttress edges remain and continue to support the living tree. There are other species of smaller tingle trees but all are endemic to the area near Walpole. Yellow Tingle trees are much lower growing, to about 35 metres and botanically they are Eucalyptus guilfoylei. The name Tingle comes from an Aboriginal or Noongar word for the trees. The Tingle trees tend to grow near granite outcrops as water drains from them to dales and hollows below. They like good rich soils.
Como tenho trabalhado MUITO e meu trabalho é primordialmente feio com as mãos tá meio difÃcil manter cutÃculas hidratadas e muito menos unhas grandes e bonitas. Essa semana tive que cortar depois de ter quebrado cinco unhas. Até tento ficar com uma ou outra unha curtinha e as outras longas mas com cinco não rola, fica muito feio. Daà que, com tanta coisa contra, até fico sem vontade de fazer coisas mais bonitas, tenho pintado mal e porcamente e nem posto de tão sem graça que tem ficado. Para vcs terem uma ideia, depois da carimbada que está postada usei Desirré da Hits na quarta, na quinta joguei Airglow por cima, e na sexta usei No Shrinking Violet da Revlon. Até tirei fotos mas ficaram tão blé que nem tive animo de postar. Mas fim de semana é fim de semana, hora de buscar inspiração e fazer algo bem bonito. Depois de horas fuçando na internet procurando por algo que fizesse meu coração bater mais rápido, resolvi fazer esse degradê e adorei o resultado, ficou bem delicado. Usei o Poodle da Risqué para a base e esponjei com Maria do Céu, Ludurana e Uva, Colorama. Depois passei uma camadinha de glitter para dar o toque final, usei o Star, que é bem fininho. E, por último mas não menos importante, uma camadinha de TC da Ideal para ficar bem uniforme e com esse brilho todo especial. Espero que vcs tb gostem. Bjusss
