The pressure gradient created by the remnants of Hurricane Sandy created 40mph sustained winds, 60mph gusts and 18 foot waves in St. Joseph, MI this afternoon.
This was one of the toughest shooting days I've ever experienced ... the sand blast and wind driven rain was unreal.
And can you imagine, there were STILL knuckleheads out on that pier this afternoon ... I just don't understand those people!

This fall was one of the most spectacular I've experienced yet. Finding early seasonal changes up at the higher elevations early was a welcome treat. The colors continued to impress as cold air descended upon the foothills.

A burst of colour tucked into a quiet Cabbagetown laneway — a blue jay and butterfly surrounded by coneflowers and summer blooms. I found this mural while wandering the neighbourhood, and the details stopped me in my tracks: the warm greens, the sweep of the jay’s feathers, and the soft gradient in the petals. A little reminder of how much life you can find painted onto the everyday.

Alirium. I visited it some time ago, but it was time to go back, the rate of change being so fast in Second Life. So here's a set of five this time.
