I keep seeing images like these on tumblr but none that are big enough to be a wallpaper, so I made some! Feel free to use, credit is always nice. If you want any specific colors, I wouldn't mind making more :-)

This supersparkly manicure I created sprinkling loose silver holographic glitter over wet nail polish (Claudia Cosmetics Glistening Snow) from the tipp to the center of the nail & charcoal loose holographic glitter from the center down to the finger. To make a soft gradient I mixed both glitters & sprinkled the "mixture" over the middle of the nail & sealed everything with 3 coats of OPI Top Coat.

It looks sooo dazzling! A perfect New Year's manicure.

This scarf literally flew off the needles. I knit this in two days -- man, have I been a mean knitting machine!

And even the boyfriend has a deep appreciation for the very cool color effects in this one.

It's a simple 1x1 rib with 2 skeins for striping, alternating every 2 rows. I've seen other scarves like this before on Flickr.

Dicas?

I've been creating sky gradients for use as backgrounds for my LEGO photography using real sky photos. I've even gone so far as to write a Photoshop script to automatically extract color information from an image and build a gradient.

To test out how they look, I used one of the original sky photos to create foreground elements and then dropped in some of the sky gradients I've made.

I'm feeling pretty good about the collection of sky colors I'm putting together.

Be warned, you WILL be seeing these sky gradients show up when I start posting National Mall project photos again.

BTW, the sky gradients used here are based on sunset photos taken in Tucson, Zions NP, Lake Tahoe and Washington D.C.
