Avremmo bisogno di più onestà. Di persone che non si adeguano, che non provano timore neanche di fronte a chi prevarica, imbroglia, inquina. La genuina e pacifica risposta al mondo e alla gente di chi ripone la propria fede in qualcosa di superiore.

Avremmo bisogno, di tanto in tanto, di qualche onda un po' più alta che interrompa la continua calma. E porti con sé a riva l'acqua rimasta piatta, adagiata sul mondo senza una sua identità.

We would need more honesty. People who don't conform, who don't feel fear even in front of those who prevaricate, cheat, pollute. The genuine and peaceful response to the world and to the people of those who place their faith in something higher.

We would need, from time to time, a few waves a little higher, that stop the continued calm. And bring with them to the shore the water remained flat, lying on the world without an identity.

We have worked our way up to visiting India, a vast, intimidating place for outside visitors, but also full of fascinating experiences, rich cultures, and of course, the unexpected.

One of the things I admire most about India is its utter frankness and inability to dissemble. India is what it is, all mass of humanity, colorful celebrations, crowded buses, dirty streets, polished temples, lonely beggars, spicy food, and hazy landscapes, and we are here to see it all.
