In this project, I used gradient meshes alongside the walls to simulate a light shining onto the piece, as well as putting gradient meshes onto the fire to show an organic color. I also used a Gaussian blur for the shadows.

ED's fancy numbered and one of the celebrity locomotives in WAP-4 series 22221 starts to pick up speed after getting a late clearence with the mighty Kerala express in tow ....

Look at that gradient! Which is a sign of the rapid erosion of the pygmy forest, actually, so nothing to be proud of in fact. Whoops.

This concrete gradient post is still in situ on the track of the Northampton-Peterborough line 53 years after the line was closed. The right hand arm indicates a falling gradient of 1 in 625 but the gradient on the left hand arm is unclear.
