i made this skirt years ago from a secondhand dress (the dress was cute but constructed in such a way that it kept flopping down and exposing my boobs. and not in a sexy way either). I stuck a ruffle on it that I'd been saving for ages, that came off a vintage slip.
My favorite microfilm process!
Looking at microfilm is so tedious -- archive collections rock, while microfilm is just the opposite. Too many reels, too many old machines, and it's like staring into a TV that's on the fritz for 3 or 4 hours. Nevertheless, it is necessary for finishing my project.

I am coming from Chennai, southern part of India.
I am in Year 2 of PhD under supervision of Prof. Ghoshal in the Dept. of civil engineering and applied mechanics.
My research area is “Environmental Engineering” and I study the treatment of contaminated groundwater with the help of bacteria and nanoparticles.
The relatively comfortable dungeon where my PhD dissertation was written. Talk about a short commute.
