I could sit and look at satellite pictures of the Earth and Google Map all day. I really could. I love seeing the shapes and formations of river estuaries, mountains, volcanic flows, glaciers, cities, roads and islands.
The above picture is of Hilbre Island, taken vertically from above the earth. Beautiful, amazing, intricate. This is a small piece of Hilbre Island right by my feet. Doesn't it look like a satellite shot?
There's a crater to the upper right, and a sulphurous flow down to the left towards a distant lake glistening in the sunshine.
Frederick Web Promotions Googlemaps "wonder wheel"
Looks like a flow chart, it reveals stuff Google has associated with your website.
Good for me! Google correctly knows me as a social media consultant!
Unfortunately, I can't even make out my own house. But it is in approximately the center of this photo. I've lived there in Mill Valley on Reed Street for almost 15 years so even if this was photographed 6 years ago, my house is still in there. My point is that I live in an area that is covered with trees and vegitation. This was a shock to my system when I moved from North Beach in SF shortly after the earthquake.
Google Local Business Listings now displays a 7 Pack.
The choices provided by Google used to be either 3 Googlemaps listings OR 10 Googlemaps listings.
The difference between what Google displays depends on if there is any competitors or not
Translation: if your competitors are asleep at the switch, YOU DOMINATE
In a GoogleMaps search for Top London Bagel- a place showed up, that piqued my interest called "BEIGEL" Open 24 Hours.
On a street called Brick Lane, en route to our ( small Group) tour of Londons amazingly restored Battersea Power Station we took a chance on this place Londoners,
will wait in a line, to be abused by rude and not-nice staff,
that could clearly benefit from a Seminar Session(s) or 3
on building Customer Relations Skills and
The Art of The Schmooze, to increase Ca$H Register Rings.
If I wanted abuse- I'd a gotten married long ago (with Kids too!)
Anyway- the bagel didn't have the proper firm outer shell with a supple soft interior.
Nor, were there different flavor offerings like -
Pumpernickel, Sesame Seed, Garlic, Onion, or
the infamous
"everything-Bagel" and- BTW it's spelled B A G E L my brother, not Beigel.

photo taken on google maps in New Orleans. The idea behind it is that in quarantine we can't go anywhere so we go to these places using google maps.
What mere mortals see from the ground when people GoogleMap a spot nearby. (View the larger size - it looks better) Reference Link
All true stories. I can't believe so many memories exist in one screen full of the map. I wish Google Maps had this kind of annotation.
Here's the live Google Maps URL I used to grab this image of Placentia, California.
This photo is of the building originally occupied by Hoffman’s Resaurant & Bar. See the next image, a postcard from the 1930s.
My thanks go out to a flickr member, Chris Nickey, for leading me to this contemporary photograph.

VERY NOBLE AND ALWAYS LOYAL CITY OF ÉVORA
In Praça do Giraldo the lights are adorned with the coat of arms of Évora. It features Giraldo the fearless on horseback with his sword pointed up. The sword is covered in blood when on colored flags and banners.
The two heads at the bottom are moors, a gatekeeper and his daughter, Giraldo beheaded allowing the Christians to take over Évora.
Dunham Massey Hall
The present hall was built in 1616 by Sir George Booth, who received one of the first baronetcies to be created by James I in 1611; it was remodelled by John Norris for his descendant, George, 2nd Earl of Warrington between 1732 and 1740; it was further altered by John Hope towards the end of the 18th century and again by Joseph Compton Hall between 1905 and 1908. The hall, stables, and the carriage house of Dunham Massey are all Grade I listed buildings, three of six such buildings in Trafford. The deer park is the only surviving medieval park in Trafford or the surrounding area.
Can I be more clear? Wrote this with 200-foot tall letters using GPS graffiti, must've covered almost 2 miles!
