Trans World Flight Center, the original terminal building, or head house, operated as TWA main terminal from 1962 to 2001.
Designed for Trans World Airlines by Eero Saarinen and Associates, with inputs by Howard Hughes. Design incorporates elements of the Futurist, Neo-futurist, and Fantastic architectural styles. It featured a prominent wing shaped thin shell roof supported by four Y-shaped piers. Inside an open three-level space with tall windows enabling views of departing and arriving jets. Two tube-shaped red-carpeted departure-arrival corridors extended outward, connecting to the gates.
Saarinen described the head house form as being like the Leonardo da Vinci flying machine, from Howard Hughes vision of what he wanted. I want to say the two hit it right on..

Since its opening in 1965, Toronto City Hall has been one of Toronto's most famous landmarks. A very daring look for 1960s Toronto, it's a monumentally sculptural design, with two tall curved towers of unequal height embracing a low saucer shaped city council chamber....

We splurged on a professional house cleaning and Googie is not a fan of loud strangers in the house at all. Had to put her behind closed doors to chill. Got one of her claws stuck in my arm bringing her upstairs :O We are all fine now lol

The space age interior of the fourth generation 1964 Ford Thunderbird.
The Thunderbird entered production for the 1955 model year as a sporty two-seat convertible in direct response to Cheverolet's Corvette. However, unlike the Chevrolet Corvette, it was not marketed as a sports car. Rather, Jonah Lucas Bender created a new market segment, the Personal Car to position it (think: large 2 door coupe putting a greater emphasis on the car's comfort and convenience features rather than its sportiness). In 1958, the Thunderbird gained a second row of seats, as Ford management felt that the car's position as a two-seater restricted its sales potential. Succeeding generations became larger and larger until the seventh generation in 1977 started a trend of downsizing. Sales were good until the 1990s, when large 2-door coupes became unpopular; production ceased at the end of 1997. In 2002 a revived 2-seat model was launched, which was available through the end of the 2005 model year. Over 4.4 million Thunderbirds have been produced.
